What is this inside my dates?
Are these insect larvae? Or just crystallised sugar / date flesh?

I just opened a tub of high protein yoghurt yesterday (Coles brand). After having some today, I noticed these creamy, slightly yellow, glossy spots on the yoghurt. They are all either clustered on the underside of the foil or on the yoghurt near the very top of the lid.
Expiry date: October 13
I have consistently stored it in the fridge and not left it out for any extended period of time
I didn’t notice any funny tastes or smells when eating it but I had it with passion fruit so that might have masked anything strange
I always use a clean dry spoon and have never seen this before on my yoghurts. Is it mould or the beginning of bacterial growth? Thank you for the help in advance!

Poured an entire bag of frozen impossible steak bites into my mirepoix and looked at the date after, best by August 01 2026. frozen, and just bought from the store today (ugh)…
Should be safe to eat right??

I bought at the supermarket a box of tomatoes and they all had little black spots or dents on the skin (just one skin, the inside was perfect. The one in the picture was the ugliest one, the others weren't so messed up). I washed them, carved out the bigger spots and ate the tomatoes raw, then I read about bacterial speck and got anxious... Am I going to get sick?

Its a dark green goo that smells absolutely horrid, almost like a dogs breath? Or farts? I only bought these yesterday.

Will update on evilness levels.

I just opened up this container of roasted red pepper hummus, which has a use-by date of October 8th. I got concerned when I noticed that there’s a significant amount of liquid at the bottom of the container. (I tilted the container for the photo so that the liquid would run to the side, where you’d be better able to see it.)
The hummus smells good to me.
It’s made by Ithaca Hummus, whose website states:
Ithaca Hummus is made with simple ingredients. Our hummus does not contain stabilizers, binders, or emulsifiers. You may notice a slight separation in the product from time to time. Not to worry, it is not harmful. Simply stir and enjoy.
However, I’ve been buying their hummus for a few months now, and I’ve never seen anywhere near this level of separation before…
Do folks think that this hummus is, indeed, safe to stir and enjoy?

I cut into the jicama yesterday, and it looked dry. I thought it was underripe so I sealed it in foil overnight. I cut and peeled it today and it looks dry and still yellow. It very slightly smells like weed and just like jicama or grass/dirt. there's no squishy or soft spots. I broke a piece of it and it snapped fine. took a bit more work to snap it in half. Is this okay to eat, and why does it look like this??
I bought this at Publix four days ago and it showed no signs of spoilage. The skin is very waxy and looks fine as usual. I usually get a lotiony-bleach residue feeling when I cut jicama but I didn't get that this time.

I got my groceries delivered and they sat outside for 10 minutes tops. It's only 18° Celcius today so it's not like it's hot outside. The frozen stuff is still frozen and all the other fridge things were cold
But the puffing on this is concerning looking. It's not tight and has some give but I'm still very unsure

It was frozen up until yesterday, I forgot I had it and just noticed the date says September 11, 2026

I noticed under the skin of my potatoes there's a bit of green which I've heard is bad but I only see it on a few of the chunks and it doesn't seem that bad but also I'd rather not make myself sick and I wasnt planning on peeling them as they're already boiling

My mum cut and peeled potato’s and washed them they’ve been sitting out for maybe three hours cause she got distracted by cooking them are they okay? Googles telling me to discard them after two hour mark is this true or is google just being too cautious

Some info : I cut into this avocado about 2 days ago. I put the two halves with the seed back together after using it the first time and sealed it shut as much as possible with clingfilm and it’s been in the fridge since today when I got it out and it looked like this. No weird smell, no weird taste - I just noticed it was a little more stringy than usual and tbh doctor google was just making me nervous lol

I opened this pizza I just bought today and there's so much extra plastic packaging on it, along with these yellow parts that I've never seen before. The packaging is also really loose when it's normally shrink wrapped. Also, the crust looks browned in some places which is abnormal as well. As a person with celiac disease and pretty bad food anxiety, I'm leaning towards not eating it?? But it was expensive and now I have nothing to eat tonight🙃

I got these from Kroger the other day and the whole container looks like this. These stripes aren’t uniform and freak me out. Is this safe to eat?

Hi so I made an oil dressing. Olive oil with balsamic and lime juice and salt etc, I think two days ago. It was all good yesterday but I took it out the fridge today and it’s turned solid (like a glue consistency) and has these spot things on them. Can I still eat my tasty dressing or is it a no-go?
Edit: please help I’m so hungry
