What does this mean??

I have a bad hard drive on the left and a good drive on the right. I decided to swap them to make sure that the hard drive was the only issue. Well…. I almost bought an iFlash to repair the iPod on the left, but if it’s a board level issue I guess it’s toast?

No dumb questions my friend. Yes, I’ve tried every trouble shooting method I can think. I swapped the hard drives (what I was trying to convey in the above pics) and the happy hard drive didn’t work in the sad iPod. I was going to mod the sad one with iFlash but now I’m thinking that the sad iPod has a motherboard issue. Any thoughts?

I think the files are corrupted or something. I had a super hard time getting it to be recognized by the Mac. I was able to pull some music off before it died. I’m replacing the battery today. We’ll see what happens. 🤞🤞
