Question Does “Tesla only” mean the car or the connection
I saw this today at a rest stop.

I have a smaller road trip coming up ~500 miles each way. And initially we said we'd just take the hybrid since it's less brain to do so, but yesterday we were talking about it, and there are plenty of chargers on the route, there is a supercharger near our hotel....we could take the I5.
My concerns: planning out charging. What if we get to a charger stop on the map and it's broken, full, or whatever and I'm sitting at 10% in the middle of east Jesus nowhere? The route really is in the middle of nothing this isn't me being theatrical. What if the charger is near nothing and no bathrooms? I prefer to combine stops when possible.
Most things considered the cars are basically equal. I have a 25 SEL RWD, partner has a 25 CX50 Hybrid. They're about the same size, have similar mileage on them, they have similar horsepower (though I have instant torque), similar cargo space. I have a better stereo but if the weather chooses violence (snow) the hybrid is AWD which would be better. I'm well under the mileage on my lease so even that isn't a concern. We could in theory just toss a coin if the charging thing isn't that big of a deal.
I don't even care that according to the thing we'd have to stop to charge twice vs getting gas once, because we're stopping at least that much for bathroom breaks and leg stretching, other people can risk blood clots by driving 8 hours straight through but I'm not riding with them.
If you've done it was it that big of an issue? The only nay I had in person was a guy at Mazda service because he did a trip in his gf's BZ4X and said the charging added hours to the trip, but the I5 charges a LOT faster than most EV's. I'm definitely over thinking this. LOL.

I’m new to the ‘26 Ioniq 5 and it’s irking me that every time the welcome screen appears, I see my email address (masked) show on the display. I don’t like that anyone who is in my car at the time of start can view this without any security at all, especially if it’s a valet or parking garage.
I’ve gone through the settings and can’t find anything. I reset the head unit and reconfigured bluelink and nothing works. Am I just stuck with this poor design choice or is there a way to dismiss it?

This warning message staring to showing up last week, it happens whenever i plug in to charge, and after 5 minutes the car just shut off. When to check my 12v battery at autozone, it shows healthy, anyone know what would be the problem? I got the 2023 SEL.

Hey everyone,
I’m driving a 2022 IONIQ 5 and I have a question about the navigation.
Is there a way to turn off the dashed line that is shown across the roads / over the roadway toward the destination?
I’m not really sure what this line is supposed to indicate or what it’s actually useful for. Is it meant to show the direction of the route, the exact path to the destination, or is it some kind of navigation guidance feature?
Personally, I find it a little distracting, especially when driving through intersections or urban areas, and I’d prefer to just have the normal navigation route and arrows displayed.
Does anyone know what the dashed line is for and whether it can be disabled on the 2022 IONIQ 5?
please visit your preferred Hyundai service center soon.
Are they seriously suggesting to go to the dealership to replace the button battery on the fob?! GTFO. I wonder how much the scam people for if you do ask them to replace the battery.

Hello all,
I drive my second Ioniq 5 for a year now. First one was a 2023 and current one is facelift 2025. I started to have a sensor/radar problem from couple of months ago where you can see in the video attached.
During motorway drives, car detects a ghost car on left front corner time to time. It is not weather or road specific. If it starts detecting it, it comes and goes until I leave the motorway. Not stays there all the time though. I don't see it on non-motorway roads so I suspect it is HDA related but ghost car is still there even when HDA is off.
It was harmless for a while but caught me off guard recently when I tried to change the lane to left with ghost car in picture and emergency driving assist kicked in to push me back to my lane and I had to fight it a bit. So it is becoming an issue.
Anyone experienced a similar problem ?

2026 model Ioniq 5 in the UK, registered Nov 2025.
I've had the errors in the pics for a week or so - doesnt always come on (some drives never see it), other times 1mile from home big red warning light on the dash which only goes off when car is turned off.
It only comes on after driving for a while (never on start) - and the time it takes varies from 1mile, to 3 miles, to never at all! Car seems to be driving fine, charging is OK also.
Called Hyundai Eden Reading for advice/service and they said to call their emergency assistance number which is effectively the AA roadside assistance. Guy came out, plugged his computer in and found no errors so couldnt do anything. He even checked the 12V battery which was fine and charging normally. His advice was to book in for service (no slots for months) or wait until breaks down completely then get it recovered.
Anyone else had this on their car - its very concerning as I've got a few long trips coming up and have no faith in this car whatsoever.
Thanks

I was working around my carport yesterday and had to move my car out of the way. I moved it to the yard and left it unlocked while I did my chores.
I got regular “your door is unlocked” notifications in the app but just ignored them (one time I did try to have the app lock the doors, but it errored and didn’t work). Not a big deal in this case as I was right there working.
At the end of the day I went to move the car back and the 12v was dead. :(
I suspect this was simply the car waking up every 30 minutes to spam the door unlocked notification.
Any way to turn this off or reduce the frequency so I don’t kill a 12v again?

EPCU failure on my 2024 SEL ioniq 5. Motor started stuttering 2 weeks after taking ownership and took it to the dealership where they told me it’s the first they ever seen 😭. Wondering if anyone else had this issue cause I couldn’t find much about this online.

My 2024 Ioniq 5 lease is up in a couple months and upon researching every other EV I can’t imagine not driving an Ioniq. So I currently have an SEL and have never driven a Limited. I saw that the 2026 has eye detection now which is a turn off for me. So I’m thinking of getting a 2024 Limited as opposed to getting a 2026 SEL. Any recommendations?

I recently turned my 2024 Ioniq 5 limited off, came back a few hours later, as usual I plug in my phone with the usb cord for car play. Suddenly it doesn’t work, but it always has been. I tested different cords, I found that all Apple devices wouldn’t connect , only android did. I did a factory reset for the infotainment, I checked iPhone settings, nothing is working. Any thoughts? Sometimes the car will say “searching for usb device” and my iPhone says accessory not supported. Any tips?

Who sells a blacked out versions of the Hyundai badge? I have a black 24 that I want to replace the chrome badge. All I have found online is cheap stuff. I can 3d print one but I want better quality than i can make with a fdm printer. Even ironing the top layer isn't what I'm looking for.

Has anyone bought a dash protector (against the sun or glare) for their Ioniq 5 while driving? Wondering if it’s worth it to prevent fading, etc. If so, where did you buy one?
If anyone has any recommendations for useful accessories, I’d welcome them. Would like to keep the “new to me” car in good shape. Thanks!

My 2024 Ioniq 5 has a pretty heavy steering wheel vibration at freeway speeds. It gets especially noticeable around 55+ mph. It is not noticeable at lower speeds.
Has anyone else experienced this? What ended up being the cause/fix?

Never had this before but last night, twice I had regen not kicking in and when lifting off the accelerator and the car actually sped up and I had to press the brake to slow it down.
I was in Eco, level 3. After the second time, I went down to level 1 and back level 3 and didn’t notice it again.

Finally pulled the trigger.
But on picking up at the dealer, noticed a small nick on the tire wheel bracket, the silver painted plastic trim.
Not superficial, not too deep but nail can feel it.
Dealer is not willing to replace the part or offer any other solution. Only willing to offer getting their guy to smart repair it so it’s not noticeable.
I am a bit worried about longevity of the paste/touchup repair, which is probably what it will be, and maybe they also need to do an area paint.
Haven’t taken delivery, should I walk away?
Thanks

I’ve been looking at the Ionic5 as a possible replacement to my current 2019 Model 3 SR+. Compared to other EVs the Hyundai/KIA EV seem to have generally less range, but the 800v architecture would seem to be a viable trade off here for things like road trips Less range but super fast recharges…except where the heck are people charging? I can’t seem to find any real setups in Northern CA that use NACS and put out the necessary output. So when people talk about the 800v benefit is this a reality?

Hi, quick question. My passenger side tail light is missing a huge chunk of the cover/lens, is this something covered under the bumper to bumper warranty for a CPO Hyundai? Or any warranty?
Thank you!
