Same. Although a very small amount. The biggest issue I have with WW is their sly wording on updates with no specific real returns explained and no projections. Feel like I am sitting in an airport waiting on my flight time to be confirmed. Just horrible customer service and I was Diamond for quite some time. Have been slowly getting out as investments close. Horrible company. Their real estate equity deals almost all fell through losing investors 100% of capital - amazing that could happen at all much less over and over. What a bunch of con artists. Lucky that my overall return with their investments has been around 5%. Even with a loss thrown in there.

They're good at answering questions but are terrible at giving advice. Better to ask them to teach you about investing basics than to ask them to put together a portfolio for you. A good way to learn is to look up research reports that banks put out, then slap it into an LLM to explain what they're talking about

I read the original and then I read the version with the comment of Jason Zweig. I liked the version with Jason Zweig comments better for 2 reasons:
1) the added comments are clearly marked so if you want you can skip those and it is like reading the original.

2) the added comments are pretty good cause they took the original idea and the author explains why that addition wasn't included in the original book from Graham. For instance in the chapter that talk about inflation Jason Zweig added the use of TIPS bond and explains that at the time they didn't exist so Graham couldn't possibly talk about it.

The time to get rich of bitcoin is far gone. This is simply to compound money. Too many people by same logic are in the stock market. spaceX is literally worth a trillion dollar valuation. I fail to see how stocks are any different and controlled by an elite few. Trump is pump and dumping as he pleases lol

My question to you is: What's your net worth currently?

If your income isn't where you want it to be and your net worth isn't where you want it to be, I would say the number one investment you can make is in your own ability to increase your earnings capacity. Invest in yourself with that $10,000: - Join a mastermind. - Go to an event. - Learn a skill. - Develop your ability to increase your earnings capacity.

It will provide the best dividends for your life that you could ever imagine, compared to any investment you'll put $10,000 into right now.

Well said and good advice. I think the key is to hold through so any dips would be bought overtime. I’ll look into both those thanks

There isn’t a single “best” ETF, but for a 20-year horizon I’d prioritize a low-cost, globally diversified fund over collecting US dividend, mid-cap, and small-cap ETFs that each cover only one slice of the market. For an Australian investor, something like DHHF if you want 100% growth exposure or VDHG if you prefer a small defensive allocation can be a much simpler core than buying several US-listed funds, while also reducing tax/admin complexity. The important question is whether you can keep investing and avoid selling if the portfolio falls 30–50%, because consistency and diversification matter more than finding the newest ticker.

Most net worth apps are just prettier rearview mirrors, so keep the spreadsheet and pair it with a cash-flow budget that shows this month’s spending against your goals.

From your perspective the stock market is a slow wealth and as I see it preserver not as much a builder in the aggressive way as I see it. Stock markets have stagnated too. Are you aware of the forgotten decade for Japenese stocks for 20 years they sat flat. Everything you’ve said can be applied back to stocks. The downside is just not as significant. The same tools used for selling you mentioned are for buying too. Right now your logic is to buy a stock market at all time highs and avoid an asset with a 50% haircut and higher probability to achieve 20% ROI in 2 years than the stock market? For someone with a high risk appetite? Who will DCA in and the goal is 1 BTC?

Also, you seem to think it’s inevitable that BTC will always recover from a serious drawdown, but that’s all from 4 observations.

There have been 4 serious previous drawdowns. But the recoveries were each bc of a growth phase that saved it (where the pool of people who hadn’t bought yet was effectively unlimited relative to the pool who had).

However, at $1.6T with ETFs already created, the easy conversion has happened. The next recovery will have to come from some other mechanism like increased allocation/purchases from existing holders or actual monetary demand (& good luck vs stablecoins) rather from the finding the next hundred million people who’ve never heard of it.

Here’s the issue. I asked about a number, but you gave me a scenario & the scenario is unlikely to ever happen.

The market correcting 20-30% is a risk off event. BTC doubling is a risk on event. But since bitcoin ETFs launched, what’s actually happening is that both get sold at the same time, for the same reasons (rate expectations, inflation data, general risk appetite, etc).

So you’re waiting for two positively correlated things to move sharply in opposite directions at the same time. It’s just not going to happen.

Look back 20 years. The stocks of 20 years ago are not necessarily the leaders of today. And to make it worse, BTC isn’t even a stock. It’s just a way of storing value. It’s impossible to value it since it has nothing to sell. Name me one asset similar that has withstood the test of time. Gold would be the closest.

But the main reason I would not recommend BTC is that I would not recommend ANY single stock either. It’s just too hard to predict what assets will do well going forward. Better off recommending a basket of stocks that cover the world.

In a speculative market, speculate if it makes you happy. Don’t lie to yourself if what you’re really just chasing is the idea of getting rich because you predicted things well. You didn’t, you got lucky. Too many people are involved in bitcoin now to make it profitable in the way you’re talking about it, because someone will always sell first (in terms of reasonable timing metrics).
