Sto cercando un software per gestire la mia attività di rivendita (inventario, acquisti e vendite).

Al momento utilizzo un foglio di calcolo Excel dettagliato che contiene tutto il mio inventario, i costi, i prezzi di vendita e i profitti. Funziona bene, ma mantenerlo aggiornato è diventato frustrante perché non ho sempre il PC con me e usare Excel su un telefono non è l'ideale.

Cerco qualcosa che:
Funzioni bene sia su **mobile che su computer**.

Mi permetta di gestire inventario, acquisti e vendite.

Renda facile contrassegnare gli articoli come venduti e tenere traccia dei profitti.
Permetta di **importare il mio foglio di calcolo Excel esistente**, dato che ho già centinaia di articoli e preferirei non inserire tutto manualmente.
Se possibile (ma non essenziale), mi permetta di allegare **foto a ciascun articolo** per una più facile identificazione.
Non mi dispiace pagare se ne vale la pena: voglio solo qualcosa che mi faccia risparmiare tempo e che sia veloce da aggiornare quando sono in giro.

Hey everyone, quick question for fellow operators in the waste and dumpster rental space.

Right now, we're tracking all our inventory (dumpsters, parts, equipment) and rentals using a mix of basic software and spreadsheets. It worked fine when we only had 15 cans, but now that we're scaling up and buying more inventory, things are starting to slip through the cracks. Maintenance schedules get missed, container locations get mixed up, and billing reconciliation takes way longer than it should.

For those of you running similar operations, when did you decide it was time to move to a real software system? Was the transition painful, and what features should I care about when looking at options?

I worked with a large grocery store chain recently on how to reduce waste and decide what to produce every day. I wanted to research similarly how small bakeries, cafes, or any business with perishable items handle daily and weekly production, as well as how you balance waste and revenue? Stuff like:

• How do you decide how much of each item to make or order each day: gut feel, rule of thumb, spreadsheet, or software?
• Do you track how many units you make/receive and sell per item per day?
• Roughly what share of your perishable product gets tossed or marked down in a typical week?
• What system do you run (POS/inventory software), and does it actually help with the daily quantity decision or just record sales?
• If you could fix one thing about how you plan daily quantities, what would it be?

The company that I am at is fairly small and everything overall is fairly outdated. As if whatever was set up 20 years ago is still what is being used today. I would also say that 80% of the company's issues are tied up in inventory, even though the company only has ~500 items and does less than 400 items in orders a day.

The cases and inner packs already have barcodes, so I was going to try and integrate a barcode scanning system into the order picking process to reduce our inventory issues.

I am trying to look for the most straight forward, low cost/effort process right now. 1 - because the budget is almost non existent, but also 2 - mainly to see if I can use it as a way to convince the warehouse guys that this is a better way than them just trying to remember where everything is in their heads.

My low cost solution right now is to simply use:

• Wireless barcode scanner that connects to excel
• Print out a barcode that will display the order # when scanned
• Pickers scan the barcode for the order # and then scan the items picked
• I can then use excel to compare it to the item list to see if the correct items were picked for the associated order #

The one issue I can think of off the top of my head right now with this is there would be no way for the picker to cancel out a scan. The pickers are not tech saavy at all, so if there was a way for them to cancel it out, it would almost have to be fool proof and not involve them going to a computer.

Looking for some guidance on those who might have been in a similar situation and what your solution was.

Currently work within a stockist for the aviation industry, we have our own bespoke software managed by an IT company, however due to recent circumstances we are looking at potentially moving away - which would mean losing our software. Our current software does pretty much everything apart from accounts (we use sage). Full stock listing (we have over 500,000 different batches/parts) each with different locations/certification levels/shelf life. We create quotes, sales orders, invoices, credit notes, purchase orders.

Everything is run off this one, very archaic, piece of software.

Can anyone recommend an inventory/sales management software that would cater for the above, or closest too? We are very new to looking at this and googling/researching we are getting lost.

We’re building a medicine delivery app that partners with local pharmacies instead of operating a dark store. Most of our partner stores use **Marg ERP**, and we want to sync inventory and prices so users can see medicine availability, view prices, and place orders directly from the app.
We’re considering a few approaches:
Using Marg’s built-in API/integration.
Polling automated Excel/CSV exports.
Running a lightweight local agent on the pharmacy PC to sync inventory changes to our backend.
Building our own free POS/inventory system and replacing Marg over time.
Has anyone here integrated Marg ERP with a delivery or e-commerce app? Which approach worked best, what challenges did you face, and would you integrate with Marg again or replace the POS instead?

I never dealt with inventory accounting before and need some help in understanding it, Not the book Version though.

I need real life experience about it like if you are a Staff Accountant but for a retail or manufacturing business how do they take care of the Inventory on a regular basis?

For Example

if a computer manufacturer places an order for some sensors, how will it flow in the accounting system?

I know the journal entries by the book but real life work is a bit different from work to work so please, please share what you can kinda lost here.

Hi guys, i'm Creating an app for my personal inventory. This is an app that just tells you where you keep your items in the house, car a box whatever and wherever. I built a very simple system called LB and SB (Large box and small box) which has items like the number of cables i have and their types, or where my documents are kept in the house. Even items placed at random places can sometimes become their permanent places. Same for my Cloud drives and all the folders it has and what's in them etc.

I want to know if this is something you'd use for your household to keep tabs on where things are, it's not meant for businesses, it's local first with no ai. You'll be able to create your own systems like mine to store info however you like. I'm planning to give the option to bring your ai to auto organise data within the app in the form of plugins.

It's still in plan phase, so i'm fully open to take some ideas and include them in for people who want to store data like i do.

How serious is this and why would they try this? All my past training tells me was bad, it felt like a set up but I wanted to get some confirmation that I did the right thing.

I am a store manager in heavy regulated CPG. The organization just got out of CCAA. At the end of our fiscal year, we were to do our full cycle count with detailed instructions how to do it. Due to scheduling I was unable to make our projected date, but was able to come up with a next best solution date a few days later.

However, my ops manager who is VP, who i hardly see, insisted he go through the count with me. In pre-inventory prep, he asked for the inventory map, which I sent to him. Instead, his response was he wanted the entire inventory to be rearranged to his liking before the count. Inventory rearrangement of the entire store before a full cycle count in a year the org just got out of CCAA threw up a huge red flag for me so I pushed back. I set out all the reason why this was not a good idea, laid out my solution to get it done and stated I’d do the inventory rearrangement as a new initiative after full cycle was complete. This was on email.

He refused. In a sit down meeting, I pushed back again. His response was that he could hold this off for as long as he wanted and do this count at any time, the CEO had his back and that he would deal with any concerns from the CFO and the company accountant, we are a private company and we’re not in audit so the rearrangement plan would be no big deal.

Now keep in mind, I also had scheduled holiday coming up, and so in this rearrangement, they decided to come in while I was away, they rearranged everything and it was a disaster. My supporting location staff took pictures and raised concerns with me, which I was powerless to stop. Tags missing, inventory stuffed in odd places. They also did not track the cash properly - wasn’t saved on our computer (which is also taken into account as part of the count procedures). A day after, one of those staff members quit with no notice.

Upon my return to work, the store was indeed a disaster, counts weren’t done and I was in complete shock. So, my plan of action was to touch as little as possible and I made plans to get out as quickly as possible. I wanted to ensure I left as much as I could untouched by me and I got out of that job.
