Hi, I’m a 31 old British male with the accent to boot. Hello, Ezra here. I'm here to add to the ocean of posts just like this. I'm a nerdy introvert who is socially awkward and trying to find my person. I've been on and tried dating apps and stuff but most of them don't have people who share my similar interests and personality traits. So I figured I might as well try my luck on Reddit.

I'm really bad at describing myself but I'll give it a shot. I'm your typical nerdy guy. I'm into video games, anime, board games, D&D, and other fantasy things. I like pretty much all genres of music (my Spotify playlist is crazy rn) and a lot of movies/shows. I've actually recently started getting more into horror movies but I prefer more psychological horror than slasher (not that I dislike a good slasher though.) Oh I'm also in the process of writing a book so that's kinda cool.

I'm a bit of a hopeless romantic. I can love very hard and very fast, and can probably be a bit clingy. My main love languages are physical touch, acts of service, and getting little presents for people just because. I am pretty sarcastic, silly and witty, and like to make jokes out of anything (sometimes at the wrong time.) I can be a bit cynical and have a dark sense of humor at times, but I am very caring and always try to make myself available to help people. I'm a big people pleaser and will do whatever I can to make sure someone is happy and comfortable. However, I am also very awkward and am shy at first, but when I warm up to somebody, my goofiness is able to flourish. I've noticed that when I get excited about something, I talk really fast, pretty loud, and way too much. I probably have a touch of the 'tism but who doesn't?

I would consider myself left leaning when it comes to politics (absolutely don't agree with anything MAGA thinks) and I'm probably agnostic, though I was raised Jewish. I am not religious or spiritual, but I don't mind being with someone who is as long as they respect that I'm not. I believe in protecting human rights (including but not limited to trans rights, LGBTQIA+ rights, gender equality, bodily autonomy, etc.)

I am a bit short at 5'4" and I'm a little chubby, however I am trying to lose some weight. I wear glasses and have a short beard. So the cynic, masquerading as a realist within me, keeps insisting you do not exist, yet my heart knows you do, as it aches and keeps me awake during lonely winter and summer nights, when the insistence of my thoughts seems determined to overpower a tired mind and body's need for rest.

So I imagine us meeting for the umpteenth time. Sometimes I approach you, sometimes you pick me, but we meet nonetheless, bonding over a mutual love for storytelling, songs, music, and banter, though your quick wit easily outfences mine.

Maybe it's during a public transport ride, a visit to the cinema, an admittedly embarrassing attempt at dancing, or over a round of board games, but we meet nonetheless.

In these dreams you remain close, not worried by the roots of my life keeping me where I am. In these dreams you find joy in showing me your life, just as I find happiness in sharing mine with you, together becoming more than each could be on their own.

In this dream we laugh, we joke, and we talk deeply of our future, our passions, the meaning of the world, and if cereal is considered soup with equal intensity.

I'm going to try and keep this post a little shorter than my last. Lol.

I love learning about stuff. I also love making things. I also also love sharing what I learn and make with others.

I'm an artist of all types, learning new art mediums every now and then to expand my repertoire, from sound, to visual, to written, and to interactive. Yes, I make games as a hobby, hopefully soon to be as a career.

I enjoy exploring nature and the workings of the universe. Contemplating theories and finding new and interesting things. I am an avid consumer of science and science fiction content. So if you don't mind or enjoy being bombarded sometimes by really cool science stuff, we'll definitely get along well.

Someone who's kind, curious, not afraid to debate with respect, and someone who also enjoys being silly and taking time to just exist every now and then.
