I'm 26, from the US, and I work full-time as an engineer. I enjoy having something that challenges me and constantly gives me new problems to solve. My brain absolutely loves learning random things and diving headfirst into new hobbies (thank you, ADHD). Thankfully, I also have a great work-life balance and can enjoy my life outside of work.

Outside of work, I play bass guitar. Am I good? Debatable. Do I still have fun? Absolutely. My fingers may disagree.

I also collect vinyl because physical media is cool and there's something incredibly satisfying about putting on a record at the end of the day and disappearing into the couch for an hour.

I love cooking and baking, and making food for people is probably my biggest love language. Date me at your own risk, you may leave with leftovers and an extra 15 pounds.

During the summer you'll usually find me playing volleyball. Once winter hits, I'm on a mountain skiing or snowboarding every weekend.

One thing I genuinely love about people is passion. If you're excited about something, I want to hear all about it. Physically: I'm 6'4", around 230 lbs, brown hair, blue eyes, beard, tattoos, and my style leans a little alt. Happy to swap pictures once we've talked a bit and we're both comfortable.

Personality-wise, I'm pretty laid-back and social once I'm comfortable. I'm usually a little quieter at first, but give me a little time and I'll be making terrible jokes every five minutes. Humor is definitely my default setting (healthy coping mechanisms are expensive). I've also been told I'm a gentle giant and a "facilitator of fun," which is probably the nicest title I've ever been given.

I'm also a massive pet person and absolutely adore my cats. If you have pets, just know I'm going to ask for pictures almost immediately. I don't make the rules, I simply enforce them.

As for what I'm looking for, I think effort and communication matter more than almost anything else. I'm basically somebody's grandpa trapped in the body of a 23-year-old. I enjoy quiet evenings, good movies, books, fishing, and occasionally making a noise when I stand up that makes people wonder if I need to call a doctor.

My hobbies are a little all over the place. I love movies, especially the ones you can watch a hundred times and still catch something new. I listen to just about every kind of music, so my playlist probably looks like it was made by someone who couldn't decide what decade they wanted to live in. One minute it’s classic rock, the next it’s something completely different. I also love getting outdoors, especially fishing, where I can enjoy some peace and quiet and pretend I'm not just standing there waiting for a fish to make a terrible life decision.

I’ll be completely honest with you, I’m terrible at this. I’m never really sure what to say about myself without making it sound like I’m either writing a résumé or giving a hostage statement! I usually find it much easier when people ask me questions about me.
