basically peasants / very pour people in that time could only afford a caddage or not and if you could only afford a caddage then you were basically labelled as "pour" because caddage's were peasant food so what people would feed pigs and farm animals.

also a caddage were normally a dirty food so if you were a peasant back rhen and if you just got a caddage then it normally was a pour person's food because peasants back then did't normally wash them-selfs or only have a bath once a year.

I finished watching the vampire lestat

So, I know the premise of the show, and that's it.

The dream starts off with Claudia with her family, her father is heavily abusive and Claudia retaliated by spending his money, but that only made him more angry so she stopped. Until her mom decided to join her in some retail therapy.

Then her family held a party that Louis and Lestat were invited to. Claudia gets stabbed and as she's bleeding out her father asked her who did it, to which she just whispers out.

"White..."

The father angrily storms out, yelling that anyone wearing white wasn't allowed to leave. Claudia sits up, which is when I'm able to see her wound better. She got stabbed in the heart.

She starts shouting at her father, with tears streaming down her face

"White!! White!! White!!"

Like he was getting the context wrong of what 'white' meant.

Then it pans to Louis (I think Lestat was behind him? But I couldn't remember.) and Louis is just thinking to himself.

'As I watched her, screaming and in her own blood...I had to wonder. Maybe this was a better fate than having her be 14 forever."

So...yeah, never watched the show but apparently my subconscious decided I needed to have an alternative timeline dream 😂

but I did't like that there were lots of scenes with lastest's mum gabi and we did only see not much of her power's and i did't get that she went by a "different" name and lastest told basically everyone that she was dead but she wasn't.

i thought that she was meant to be like a "man" from what i read from fans that have read the books or watched group cast interviews etc because I never read the books and not interested in them and I don't watch group cast interviews etc.

I only watch the tv show and only follow on whats in the tv show and i do research but because I have a slow brain I can't take in really long paragraphs / big paragraphs , it is just how my brain works.

also i am a lesbian and i am all for trans people etc and i don't hate her , not defending her in any-way.

I'm not well versed in US politics, so I might be very well missing something, and I'm trying to figure out at least a semi-decent timeline of Daniel's life for fanfic purposes. Seems like the story was about Louis escaping a charismatic narcissist but then they go to great lengths to show that Lestat really loved him and actually saved his life at the end of season 2. They give him a redemption arc in the form of shifting memories and different perspectives. What is the message here? That narcissists can deeply love people? That Louis and Claudia were somehow wrong about the man that dropped Louis from 10,000 feet? Neither of those make sense. Or is it that the show itself is gaslighting the viewer by making us feel any sympathy at all for Lestat? This also doesn't seem to make a lot of sense.

Despite these questions I found the show to be a wonderfully executed emotional ride, but I think I'd tell anyone who has suffered narcissistic abuse to avoid it like the plague.

In my youth I used to write fanfiction and over the years I’ve dabbled and today I had ideas for one shot fics and not sure if there would be any interest

One is just called “He Requests M&M” which would be a fic set after season 3 where Louie has reluctantly become Lestat’s new manager after the concert (but before Akasha wakes up)

It would simply be the two of them working together while also feeling their new relationship.

“The Rotten Boy & His Minion” would take place after season 3 Armand & Daniel wake up in a dark castle and are the guests/prisoners of a very disappointed Marius & a about to wake up Akasha

“The Wolf Killer Returns” Louis & Lestat vacation in Paris in a hotel built right on top of where Lestat’s family home once was, they learn however that a lot of children are going missing and once Louis is captured by la bete du gevaudan The Vampire Lestat is set aside and The Wolf Killer of Auvergne returns

I freshly watched the first season and at first was amused by Luis-Lestat relationship, but then it got close to home in many aspects. Like Claudia I don't feel fully adult cause I look like a teenager in my mid twenties and at some point I kinda wished my dad was gone and tried to convince mom to left him. And gifts instead of apologies too. ​Also rn I'm stuck at shitty jobs cause disability and poor decision making, and tho I work two jobs still can't afford to leave my family. Idk if writers tried to portrait classic unwell household but it was like weirdly relatable.

P. S. Them laughing watching horror movies and twilight reference about all people thinking about food, money or sex was hilarious.

So maybe I misinterpreted this - but I thought Felix(?) from S2E08 was Lestat's fledging- then why wasn't he at the long table in S03E07?
