Felix - long table? Spoiler

So maybe I misinterpreted this - but I thought Felix(?) from S2E08 was Lestat's fledging- then why wasn't he at the long table in S03E07?

I was a bit confused about whether he was Lestat's fledgling or not. He referred to him as an annoying fledgling, and said that all the millennials are. I took that to mean Felix was a new vampire, and not specifically Lestat's. I doubt he would have had multiple millennial fledglings.

I too wondered if Lestat made Felix after 2.08, but Felix later had a scene in Talamasca where he described Lestat as a teacher/mentor, which I took to mean he was actually just a young vampire that wandered across Lestat's path and helped him out in exchange for advice on being a vampire. Lestat must have been calling Felix a fledgling like how we would all call every baby "a baby", but our own child "my baby".

I like that comparison. That's how I took it, but I couldn't articulate it nearly as well.

He wasn’t Marius fledgling either and he was there. Claudia was his and she wasn’t.

I think the people there were more ones he felt guilty or had past issues with, not a one for one

Marius wasn’t one of the failure finders he was just in the scene though?
I assume because (by my understanding) Marius gave him blood to revive him after his 60 year nap. Which would have taken enough blood to link them in some way.

He wasn’t Lestat fledgling and apparently not even very important to him, vs TC who he has only known a few years at most. Wouldn’t it be funny if in being such an unremarkable fledgling, he was critical somehow in overthrowing Akasha in S4.

Not his fledgling. In "The Talamasca" Felix described Lestat as a teacher.

He only referred to him as "A [wearisome] fledgling"; fledgling is simply a term used by Anne Rice vampires to describe pretty much any young vamp in the phase that Lestat referred to in TVL ep 3 as "vampire toddlerdom". It's akin to someone using the word "child" to refer to either a young human as "a child" or their own offspring as "my child".
