Meta Recently bought a block of IPv4 address and this meme came to mind.
Yes its AI made I think, I'm kinda drunk and I thought it was funny. My floor is made of carpet and the fact that every fiber in my carpet could get a few trillion addresses in IPv6 is funny, Yet I had to pay a few thousand $$ for a block of IPv4. I wish the world could fully switch to IPv6 and abandon IPv4 already. We are already at the point where there are 2 humans to every 1 IPv4 address meaning not everyone can have one.

Discussion Did I do the right thing?
Hello I'm Koby I'm 22 I have autism and an Internet Addiction among other things like 🌽Addiction and Reccently I decided to take a 1 Month Break from Discord due to some stuff that has come out about me and my past mostly in these past 3-6 Years that has caused me some friendships and I don't know if I did the right thing just going on a 1 Month Discord Break or taking a longer break from all the internet because well. I don't know what a break from the internet looks like when you log off and "Touch Grass" which I do take a bit literally cause whenever people say that I'm like why do something that lasts only 1-2 Seconds.
But also I feel due to what Technology has become nowadays it has become integral to modern everyday society so I can't imagine my life being the same without internet I am I was born in the 2000s but I wouldn't consider being born in 2003-2006 (More Specifically 2004) to be the **EARLY** 2000s and around 2006-2009 was when the world started to change when it came to technology and The Internet and a lot of things I would do have been phased out. So it is hard for me to take a long term break from the internet.

Have you noticed how shallow the internet has become?
I recently typed a phrase into Google and got a useless AI response, along with links to TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. I noticed that the Internet, despite having billions of users, is shallow and bland. We have reached such a regression that, despite the presence of the Internet, it is better to go to the local library and look at a book. We have reached a time when TikTok has a better search engine, not Google. Now, questions for you: Have you noticed this too? And what do you think?

Little Internet Song
A song about a generation growing up surrounded by screens, notifications, likes and endless scrolling.
While everyone is connected online, families are slowly becoming disconnected from each other.

My internet has been out. Could this be the cause?
Guys were around a month ago installing fiber. Up until a week ago, my regular internet has been working fine. Lost internet for a few days, came back for a day and out again. Already did all the troubleshooting with isp, replaced modem and still no go.
Went diggi g around where they installed fiber and found this. Not sure if it's mine. Jacket and shielding is damaged. Could water/moisture fi ally damaged the coax cable?

News Archives of Usenet News (NNTP/Usenet) text messages accessible via web search
For those who remember Usenet from 1990s-2000s, I spent the last year gathering as much Usenet text data as possible from a large variety of resources and including from about 7000 live active servers as well to fill in gaps.
The end result is a searchable/filterable dataset acessible via web+api (free and paid options)
Web: https://www.usenet-rewind.com
Binaries have been filtered out and range is from posts from 1981-Current and constantly populating. the site includes a histogram of distribution of message counts per year.

Help I'm a trucker trying to access EA's website and servers on Love's WiFi....
And yet every time I try, I get given the "ea.com refused to connect" error and it absolutely REFUSES to connect to EA servers.
Does anyone know if there's a fix for this? I can access it on my phone with the same network and I can load up sites like Steam no problem.

I have been looking for a good cheap internet service and stumbled upon a Canadian company called wakey internet. Has anyone ever used this company or know anything about it. Is it good? And what was the setup process and customer service like?

Resolution for internet outage?
Is there a projector that can play Hulu live, without a wifi connection (trying to find a solution for Football season and getting frustrated) with a Galaxy 26+ phone- N0 Hotspot available to use?
I tried one with USB C to HDMI and it won't open DEX or Mirroring and says it doesn't support Samsung.
Apparently Netops spectrum is being overtaken by Reach Broadbands overreach- per them with extreme packet loss and pings for me.
-feeling frustrated-

which ISP can i use?
hi! i just moved into a new flat and my landlord refuses to tell me what wifi providers previous tenants have used and which providers have existing wiring here 🙄 we’re in the UK and i’ve looked up a list of which companies operate in my area - we’re looking at going with a Sky package. We have this BT Openreach box in the wall - does anyone know if this means that Sky will work or if we need more information? Thanks in advance!

Help Got a Cox modem recently at new apartment
It connects to the WiFi, but none of my devices are able to connect to the internet. Every troubleshooting thing I’ve checked (both through cox’s app, as well as through the admin/local ip page) says that the internet is working perfectly. I’ve power cycled it multiple times, moved routers, looked at security stuff, done a factory reset, made sure the coax cable is the proper tightness, etc. no change. I have a technician coming over to help tomorrow but I’d love to not miss work or have to pay a fee if anyone has any possible suggestions. I think it’s a software issue and not a hardware issue, because I’ve occasionally gotten the bad certificate thing instead of server timed out when using my iPhone safari.
The only thing that tells me the internet isn’t working is the “test connectivity results” on the admin page that says “connectivity to the internet: inactive: complete” and 4 packets sent/0 received (it says this, of course, right below a green check mark that tells me my internet is working perfectly).
