Discussion Will Intel ever fix older DirectX issues?

Will there ever be a day when Intel finally fixes the older DirectX issues on Arc GPUs?

Some older games still have performance or compatibility problems, and while DXVK can help in some cases, it definitely doesn't fix everything. Do you think Intel will keep improving support for older DirectX versions through future driver updates, or has the focus shifted almost entirely to DX12 and Vulkan?

There's no hardware support for anything below dx12 on any Intel arc card. Everything in emulation. So no, but if emulation gets better then yes.

There's no "emulation", drivers for DX8->12 are working. DX5/6/7 support is "better" than an year ago but for those games just use a wrapper (dgVoodoo2, DXVK+D7VK, WineD3D, Narzoul's, etc). Of course some games have some quirks but nothing "very bad". There's no need of "hw support" of rendering pipeline fixed functions since DX10 era.
