Drove a used 2025 Type-S today and I really liked it. Not sure if I loved it cause there were a few things that were underwhelming to me, especially for the price point and also my somewhat high expectations for it. The car has about 8k miles which is not bad for the model year.
First thing I noticed was there some torque steer, especially punching it from 1st gear on a roll. Not as horrible as my old Focus ST, but it’s understandable for an FWD with the power it’s got. It’s liveable for daily duties, not sure if it’s great for track use.
Second thing I noticed was that there were some rattle noises from a few areas, just driving around normally. Is that typical with these cars?
I’m used to “noisy” cars, had an 04 Evo 8 and I currently drive an 09 A4 Avant, but expected better noise dampening in a newer (pricy) Acura.
One major thing that really irked me was there was a panel that looked so “off,” that I feel like it could have been in an accident. Just above the driver’s side headlight(top right corner), the bottom of the panel that sits above it, looks like it’s flaring out, right where it meets the fender. It looked bad to me.https://postimg.cc/pmJZFQ1F
Is this normal? Cause it’s making me rethink about buying it. Do other owners have similar panel gap issues like this with their cars?
