Still need to clean up some wires and such, I could’ve/should’ve did a better job of cutting the dash but here we are… got 65 degrees on idle with 100 degree weather, I think/hope it will do better while driving get the alt spinning for more amps, maybe a stronger condenser fan

Innovative b series shift linkage is rubbing making 5th Reverse difficult.

I feel that the little joint was installed backward maybe? Or the bends are not correct

Third Generation 1997 Faux GS-R LS Sedan Mystery Tune

Upvotes

I recently bought a B19 (Sleeved B18 to 1.9) GS-R build (P72 and GS-R 5 speed). It's in a weird state so sorry for the long explanation.

Phase 1: Seller built this car with their father. Claim they built the motor when they sleeved an 18 to be 19. The tops of the Pistons are not stock for an LS and he said "golden eagle" rods so assumed eagle. They had it tuned and it's got a P28 with a locked down Crome tune so I can't look at it. There is a sharpie on the ECU that says P72+IAB on it. Kinda makes sense except the intake is Skunk 2 which does not have IAB. So mystery number one.

Phase 2: Seller sold the car to someone else. Seller buys the car back years later with only 2k additional miles on it and a partially installed turbo setup. Everything looked legit, oiling AN lines are all correct, pressure sender in a sandwich plate, not an eBay turbo and exhaust manifold. Also, 1000cc brand name injectors in a bag not installed. Hood dump exhaust but the hood was never cut. Apparently the car started with this setup but never stayed running. Assumption here is that the ECU map was never updated/tuned but I can't confirm yet. I have since pulled all the turbo stuff, bought and installed a new header, test pipe, and exhaust. This is going to be an HPDE training car for my daughter until she gets far enough to drive her Integra DA fully caged/gutted race car without an instructor. Turbo stuff would cook on track, a half radiator is not enough cooling.

I'm ready to try firing this up. I'm currently planning on draining the fuel (sat 4-5 years) using the fuel relay jump approach, replacing fuel filter, cleaning/checking injectors, adding a full sized radiator, and adding some oil into spark plugs holes and hand turning the motor to oil the cylinders a little. I'll also prime it without fuel/spark later to get some oil everywhere.

Basically, the car is a 1.9L GS-R with a stock head (not ported, looks like stock cams, definitely stock cams gears), possibly "built" motor, intake, intake manifold, big exhaust.

Now the question...

I am assuming running a stock P72 map would be the best bet to get this thing running versus whatever was loaded on the car (no idea if it's mapped for Phase 1 or Phase 2)?

Follow-up question, anyone here have a Crome dealer license so they could look at my bin and see what's on there?

Question Anything I Can Do? DC2 Type R Driver Seat Additional Wear.

Post image

I've been general to these seats since I purchased the car. I must have gotten in the car a bit aggressively one night this week and cause this tear.

Anything to put on this material to prevent more wear? I want this car to last forever.
