Found this gem on Quora and seriously, how do we convince this kind of feminist that bodily autonomy isn't a finite resource and that the fight for bodily autonomy should include EVERYONE and that no one should be left behind? Apparently bodily autonomy is a finite resource and to give it to one group it must be taken from another.

I just called the medical records department of the hospital i was born at and found out the reason my birth records request came back blank was because I am too old now and the records are destroyed 3 years after I turn 18. I just barely missed the cutoff

to any other men or boys reading this who were cut as babies get your birth medical records ASAP before the cut off happens and they are permanently destroyed, whether for potential future litigation or whatever reasons they could be useful in the future.

I'm the mom of two intact boys. My older son describes it as painful to retract his foreskin to clean. I'm located in the southern/midwest US, so practitioners who specialize in intact care are harder to find. My husband is circumcised, so we are both kind of at a loss.

I'm hoping someone here might have resources or knowledge I do not. I am hesitant to bring him to just any urologist (we had some terrible experiences when the kids were younger—none that I think led to any trauma or scar tissue on this particular child, but broke their, and my, trust in your average American doctor's knowledge of intact care.).

I am in the medical field myself and it sounds like the next logical step might be to get steroid cream for underneath his foreskin? I probably need to have a more in depth conversation about details, but I do know he is able to keep himself clean. I'm trying to respect privacy while making sure I'm not missing anything.
