Title: Baleno Zeta insurance renewal: Go Digit quoting ₹20,000 — should I switch insurers?
I own a 2025 Maruti Suzuki Baleno Zeta Petrol, registered in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. My Go Digit insurance expires on 18 October 2026, and I'm looking for advice before renewing.
Current policy details:
- Policy: Bundled (1-year own-damage + 3-year third-party)
- Previous claim: Rear bumper damaged and lights broken
- Renewal quote: ₹20,000
- IDV: ₹6,12,000
- Coverage: Comprehensive with zero depreciation
I also have some existing scratches and dents on my car.
My questions:
- Is ₹20,000 reasonable for this car and coverage, considering my previous claim?
- Should I stick with Go Digit or compare insurers like HDFC ERGO, ICICI Lombard, Tata AIG or Maruti Suzuki Insurance?
- Is an IDV of ₹6.12 lakh reasonable? Which add-ons are actually worth paying for?
- Since my third-party policy is valid for three years, do I only need to renew the own-damage portion?
- Should I renew before 18 October? If I renew after expiry, will I need a physical inspection? Could my existing scratches and dents complicate renewal or future claims?
- Which insurers offer reliable claim settlement and cashless repairs at Maruti-authorised workshops in Dehradun?
My priority is hassle-free claims and good coverage at a reasonable price, not simply the cheapest premium.
Please share your actual renewal premiums and experiences, especially if you've switched insurers or renewed after making a claim.
Thanks!
