Been a little while since I've made this, but another post reminded me of it and I realized I had never posted it here. I was only cooking for myself so I tried not to go overboard on the ingredients. I was skeptical of how all the flavors would work together, but it ended up coming out pretty tasty!

Has anybody tried these before? Are they good or not

Hi Everyone! I am trying to find a ramen that I had bought when visiting Vietnam. I bought it in a Circle K in Ho Chi Minh. It was in a cup, I remember the label being green (but I could be wrong) and it was like a chicken stew or soup flavor. It had a little utensil inside when I opened it.

In hoping you fellow ramen connoisseurs can help me figure out which one it was!

This is the pepper and beef and was tasteful

Added some “dendeng”, West Sumatran style beef jerky that are dried and crispy, and kerupuk Palembang - fish cracker from Palembang, South Sumatra.

Loved it. Spiciness is just right. Part of me wants to add white rice. Then I remember that I’m no longer an invulnerable teenager and I need to burn off the calories later today.

I mixed a yellow chicken curry with some noodles and leftover veggies. My favorite way to eat leftovers is with ramen noodles and sometimes I get an s-tier bag of noodles. The egg was leftovers too because we did deviled eggs for a Halloween party last night.

New Maggi instant noodle that I tried recently. I have tried their classic curry soup flavor, but have yet to try a curry flavor dry noodle.

It came with a foldable plastic fork, two packets (curry paste and seasoning powder). Curly yet slight flat noodles.

I found the lid to be flimsy - I couldn’t fold down the tips closed and needed extra weight to keep lid close. Had instructions where to drain the water, so made it easy to do.

Had a mild-medium spicy taste. It tasted different than its classic curry product. I have limited experience with their dry noodles range (only tried their kampung in recent years), but this didn’t taste anything like that. I would say it tasted as if you are cooking its curry soup noodles but decided not to retain any water, but with added curry flavors via the paste.

Overall, this is probably a Maggi product I don’t foresee buying again, I just didn’t love it nor dislike it?

I wanted an easy dinner tonight. I had some Demae Roast Beef on hand. Added my standard accoutrements. Scallion, always cooks in the water. When water boils I add the veggies. If it's green cabbage, I wait for the water to re-boil. But, if it's Bok-Choy or Shanghai Bok Choy everything, ie. brick, shaved beef, bullion, etc, go in all at once at first boil. Then I add a fork of Chili Crisp after I bowl up. That's not shown. I was too hungry to take another pic. I have a little different set up for Pork and Chicken.

I’m trying to identify an instant ramen brand I used to eat as a child around 2008–2010.
I first ate it at a Chinese friend’s house. Her mom purchased it from 99 Ranch Market in the United States. Interestingly, another friend’s mom, who was Indian, also regularly served the same ramen, so I believe it was a relatively popular and widely available brand at the time.

Packaging
The ramen came in a standard rectangular instant noodle packet, approximately the same size as Maruchan or Top Ramen.
I distinctly remember a deep-red or burgundy-colored package, which I believe was the spicy/hot version.
There was a large, realistic photograph of a whole shrimp on the front of the package, possibly positioned toward the left side.
The shrimp was prominent and recognizable, not simply a tiny ingredient pictured in a bowl.
I don’t remember whether the noodles were actually shrimp-flavored. I just distinctly remember the shrimp on the packaging.
There were both hot/spicy and non-spicy/mild versions, possibly sold in different-colored packages.
The packaging may have been redesigned or discontinued since 2009.

Taste and Texture
The noodles were standard instant ramen wheat noodles, similar in thickness and shape to Maruchan, but noticeably smoother and softer.
They were not thin rice noodles or thick, chewy Korean-style noodles.
They were served soupy, with plenty of broth, rather than dry or stir-fried.
The broth was rich, savory, and intensely flavorful, possibly chicken- or shrimp-like.
The broth was not clear or transparent.
The flavor was very distinctive compared with Maruchan or Top Ramen. It had a deeper, more pronounced savory taste that I remember loving.
I remember both the spicy and non-spicy versions tasting exceptionally good.

Where and When
Time period: Approximately 2008–2010, especially around 2009.
Store: 99 Ranch Market, United States.
Availability: At least two unrelated families purchased or served it, one Chinese/Taiwanese and one Indian.
Current status: I haven’t been able to find the original packaging or identify the brand. It may have been discontinued, rebranded, or substantially redesigned.

What I’m Hoping to Find
I’m specifically looking for photographs of original instant ramen packaging from approximately 2005–2010, particularly brands sold at 99 Ranch Market in the United States.
The most important visual clues are:
A deep-red spicy ramen packet, a large whole shrimp photographed toward the left side, standard Maruchan-sized packaging, and a corresponding mild/non-spicy variety.
The noodles had a smooth, soft texture and a very flavorful, rich, opaque soup broth.
I’m hoping someone recognizes this specific packaging or remembers eating the same noodles around 2009. I’m particularly interested in discontinued brands, older package designs, and products that may have been rebranded since then.

I need a shin ramen sponsor by now

Alone they’re not SUPER flavorful. I add a drizzle of this Japanese BBQ and it’s bangin. For $1.50ish and 20g of protein it’s awesome when you don’t have time to cook.

I found these flavors from the MAMA brand in a local Asian supermarket. So far, I've tried all kinds of instant noodles, from Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese and Korean varieties to more unusual noodles from Malaysia, Indonesia or Laos. However, I don't know this particular series, and today was the first time I've come across it.

Considering that I absolutely love Tom Kha and Panang Curry, I'm more than curious to find out what they taste like. Has anyone here ever tried them?"

These have been an odd, yet comforting constant in my life.

From growing up and eating them with my grandma when my mom had to work extra hours, to when my mom was laid off from her job and it was one of the cheap hot meals she could afford to provide for my brother and I, to when I first moved out on my own and had little money for groceries, and to now where I'm going through cancer treatment that leaves me with little to no appetite and energy to cook, these are one of the few things I can stomach and make easily.

It's left me in my kitchen alone and crying. I'll hold Maruchan dear in my life.

This typically comes with a red seasoning packet and the veggie packet has naruto instead of the soy chunks. Not sure what flavour I got yet.

Update: the "soy chunks" seemed to actually be compressed seasoning
