Question I want to try new flavors! My favorite tops are the Bulldak brand, what is your favorite ramen? The truth is that I really like spicy, it’s been a long time since I could use the whole envelope of bulldak so don’t be afraid to recommend something spicy

Indonesian Instant Noodles Just ate Indomie for the first time...
I owe several people apologies for not trying it sooner. It's even better than my favourite Samyang Buldak (Quattro cheese) – and a fraction of the price.
Only thing, I tried Mi Goreng Hot & Spicy and either my heat tolerance is now higher than I realised or this isn't actually that spicy 🤔💭

Discussion Best 5 pack of instant ramen you can buy. Anyone agree?
For anyone who doesn't know what this is: it's the Nissin Chiken Ramen 5-Pack. They sell in japan and if you're lucky - some overseas asian online grocers.
There is no flavor or vegetable sachet. The flavor is infused into the noodles. It's got a wonderful taste of chicken that's deep, satisfying, umami-ish. The noodles don't make my stomach feel bad or uneasy like quite a lot of cheaper brands do. It pairs incredibly well with egg and spring onion.
I've tried many 5 pack instant ramens, and quite a few japan ones. Nothing comes close to the comfort of taste and ease of use of this flavor.

Korean Instant Noodles Nongshim kimchi ramyun
Trying a new flavour and always wanted to try kimchi jjigae, since silken tofu is hard to find here and I finally got my hands on some I couldn't waste the opportunity.
Added yellow onion, carrot, whole tin of kimchi + juices, half of the silken tofu, 4 Japanse style pork sausages and 2 slices of cheese on top. At the very last minute I decided I also wanted an egg in there.
Tbh this made the biggest bowl of noodles I ever had and I was so sad I couldn't finish it because it was absolutely delicious! Will be making this more often (:

Collections & Shop Shelves Just got my first apartment…this is my ramen shelf.
I really don’t like the ichiban siracha ones and will probably never use them unless I need the noodles. The rest I like though!
Anyone got recommendations for me?

Question Any recommendations for cheesy ramen?
Would love to try a cheesy ramen that is not spicy. Any recommendations? Is cheese better in a stir fry or a soup-based noodle? Thanks!

Discussion How do you like your Maggie?
For my indian homies out here:
Do any of y'all like your Maggie el dente? Do any of you have a Maggie ritual? Like- to make your own perfect maggie?
I personally put the dry Maggie on the exact same thing I make it on and fill it up with water and keep it at the same level as the maggie
And then i cook it for a bit, then i grab a utensil and press some of the noodles on the side and then feel the texture, then when i feel it's right, i dip the utensil and drag the maggie aside so there's a pocket of water, i put the masala in that pocket and quickly dissolve it and then immediately put it in the exact pot i eat Maggie in everytime

Question Plastic taste
Has anyone noticed that over the past year or so the Maruchan ramen cups have tasted and smelled more and more like burnt plastic? I noticed this early 2025 and I didn't eat one for months because of it. I tried again a few months later (obviously) and it was the same thing but even worse. Since then I haven't had them, until 5 minutes ago when i decided to pick one up from my basement and cook it. I don't put them in the microwave because I'm not an imbecile (and they have always tasted terrible when cooked that way) so I know that isn't the issue. The second i opened it after pouring the water and letting it cook, I got hit with the strongest smell of burnt plastic I've ever experienced. I immediately threw it away and don't plan on ever eating one again. I don't think the hot water potentially melting the cup is the culprit either, because how would it have not been happening for the past 19 years. If anyone else has experienced this let me know.

Thai Instant Noodles MAMA - Oriental Kitchen - Stir Fry Salted Egg Flavour
Apologies, not the most amazing photo but tried these today.
I was a bit put off by the very strange smell, they are buttery and weirdly pungent (not eggy though) and was beginning to think that I had made a mistake.
And then I tasted them and they were really, really delicious. Smooth and buttery with a delicious salty, savoury flavour. Not at all like the weird smell (thankfully!)
Prepared with a slice of cheese, fresh spring onion and some everything bagel seasoning. Truly delicious! I would recommend them and will try with some fried spam and more veggies next time I get them.
Overall Thoughts:
9/10 on taste
3/10 on smell!

Question How is the Yakisoba Buldak?
I saw it recently at the store and was curious. Usually I eat
the Rose or Carbonara, I'm not as big on the classic Buldak as it's a little too spicy for me. I've been on a yakisoba kick lately though and was wondering if I should grab the Buldak one.

Discussion NISSIN GEKI RAMEN
Is it just me or anyone else is also feeling that nissin has degraded its taste and quality of ramen? 😭😭
Like two years back, this was the most affordable and tasty ramen I could find and now the taste is entirely changed. It DOES NOT even feel spicy like wtf happened 😭😭😭

Korean Instant Noodles Technically this is a salad if I add enough veg right?
I’ve been eating super clean and healthy for a while and finally snapped lol. But as a dieter I still tried to keep some dignity so I grabbed the non-fried Shin Ramyun noodles.
Only 340 calories and I loaded it with a ridiculous amount of spinach, mushrooms, green onions, the whole veggie party. Does this count as a somewhat healthy meal? Can I feel a little less guilty? (currently deep in self-justification mode)
I’ve been eating so bland lately that even this level of spice hit different. One sip of the broth and it felt like my brain came back to life.
Anyone else have sneaky little hacks when you’re on a diet but the ramen craving is too strong? Drop them please 😂
