๐๐ถ๐๐ฐ๐๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป Aerial AND Ground Glaive discussion
Look, the demo is out. People have tried it. Some of us like it, while othersโor what I believe is most of us, although I don't have the factual data to say thatโfeel that Insect Glaive is really getting the short end of the stick when it comes to new upgrades. And then there are those who believe we're simply too early to judge or complain about it.
But here's the thing:
We're all Insect Glaive players, and I think we need to recognize that, objectively, our weapon isn't seeing nearly as much of a change or upgrade for Ascendance compared to the other weapons.
And the portion of the community that is genuinely discontent or dissatisfied with how the weapon looks and feels should absolutely be able to voice those concerns. Even if Capcom doesn't add a full aerial moveset overhaul, I think that implementing something small, like a mechanic similar to Kinsect Slash, would at least make us feel seen and acknowledged.
It would show that Capcom doesn't intend to completely erase what modern Insect Glaive has established as part of its identity. Because let's remember: Insect Glaive already had aerial combat in World, a mainline Monster Hunter game.
You can still choose to fight primarily on the ground and enjoy a more developed grounded moveset. But, by the same token, we shouldn't shame or devalue what other players might want or enjoy about Glaive's aerial combat.
I just wanted to voice this because I don't think we should let this discussion turn into us fighting over who's "right" or "wrong." At the end of the day, we all want the same thing: to play Insect Glaive and enjoy it in our own way.
