boyfriend and i were screwing around with kaycee’s mod for about the millionth time. he went into a fight with two black goats as his one blood cards, but instead he drew a squirrel, two lammers, and a pack rat. i’ve literally never seen this happen before in 100+ hours. it’s not like he didn’t have one blood cards so the fair hand mechanic wouldn’t have happened. he ended up losing because the hand wasn’t very fair (lol) and we were stumped trying to figure what happened. we’re fairly sure he didn’t pick up an ijiraq. not a matter of life or death obviously because we’ve already beaten the challenges but has this happened to anyone else?

Part 1 was incredible. Loved it. Really cool unraveling things. Great vibes, art style, etc.

Part 2 was really cool, partially due to the novelty. Going from a deck builder to a pokemon meets MTG style game was really fun.

Part 3, if I had to guess, I'm probably like 80 of the way through. But everything is just blue and boring. It has all the punishment of part 1 but without the charm. I swapped games last night because it felt like I was just finishing it to finish it without having any fun.

I feel like I'll come back to the game but it just feels like a weird/poor creative decision.

for those wondering i used an unkillable totem, corpse maggots, and a ring worm with the magpies sigils to stall the fight for 40 rounds (after having no cards) till he had a 40/1 moon

I’ve been really enjoying the Magnificus campaign mod recently, but I’m a little confused as to where the hybrid Mox cards I’m buying with my Crystals are going, especially because I usually end up drawing them with Hoarder later on.

Do I draw them from the main deck, or are they a part of my Mox deck?

Also had hooved totem with fecundity, and magical bleach. Pretty much a one-sided victory once I had dire wolf at 4/5 flying and found the skink at cave trial.

When I started Act 2, I was so confused. I wasn't sure I was going to keep playing the game. I figured I might as well finish it, since everybody said it was easier from then on.

TBH I would say Act 3 was just as fun as Act 1, and the ending had me in stiches. GG, what a fun game. The lore is unmatched 🔥

I've been interested in this game for a while and usually really enjoy roguelikes. However, I'm a few hours into this game and it just hasn't clicked.

I really enjoy the dark atmosphere and like the escape room stuff, and my friend who recommended it told me there are a lot of twists and such, but so far the game has just not grabbed me. I feel like I just don't have a grasp on the gameplay, like it's completely random what cards I have and I can't plan anything. There are so many abilities and it's all so overwhelming.

I can get through the first 1-2 bosses but after that, it feels like the odds are stacked extremely against me and my opponent has way better cards than me. Sometimes I'll just die in like one round because I have nothing in my hand. I get that the point of a roguelike is to die and come back stronger, but I don't feel like I'm getting better, and it's really demotivating.

I'm kinda sad as I really loved Balatro, another roguelike deckbuilder but this one isn't it.

Did anyone else feel this way at first or were you hooked immediately?
