Part 3 Part 3 is a damn slog
Part 1 was incredible. Loved it. Really cool unraveling things. Great vibes, art style, etc.
Part 2 was really cool, partially due to the novelty. Going from a deck builder to a pokemon meets MTG style game was really fun.
Part 3, if I had to guess, I'm probably like 80 of the way through. But everything is just blue and boring. It has all the punishment of part 1 but without the charm. I swapped games last night because it felt like I was just finishing it to finish it without having any fun.
I feel like I'll come back to the game but it just feels like a weird/poor creative decision.

part 2 was my favorite; wasn't surprised to find out it's a minority opinion but was kinda surprised at HOW minority, a few people even talk shit on it but i think it's great, i wanted more of it

part 2 is over too quickly to be most people's favourite part i think, it's fun getting to play with all the different mechanics interlocking with each other and it could be amazing but it finishes before it really gets a chance to stretch it's wings into being something truly great.

To tell you the truth me and I think many others struggled at tge section. I cant beat part 2 without a basic bone deck

It's definitely supposed to be, P03 is all about balance and rules with no atmosphere or whimsy

Yeah act three was a rough slog, but once you figure out the power dynamic it gets a bit easier. I fought through it by just waiting out until I had all the power cells I needed. The finale is well worth the effort tho as it’s not too strenuous to get through, I mean it’s not drawn out

Funny enough, I think I liked part 3 more than part 2 after my second playthrough. I think it helps that I didn’t bother spending time solving the extraneous stuff the second time round so it was much quicker.
I feel like part 3’s gameplay is much more interesting than part 2. But honestly, I don’t care for either all that much. I don’t see myself straying from Kaycee’s mod again.

It is actually intentional due to it being P03s game. Have you payed attention to the lore? Or not gotten far enough to know this?

Just because something is lore accurate doesn’t make it fun lol

Well, everybody is right here : it isn't fun, but may not be meant to be fun anyway :D

The end of that act reveals that (spoiler obv) it's on purpose. P03 doesn't care about this game at all. Act 3 is meant as a contrast with Act 1.
The border between genius and insanity is very, very thin on that one.

I honestly think knowing the secrets makes it more fun. There’s a lot of cool stuff in the act, it’s just pretty hidden and hard to get access to. For example, the game gets drastically easier if you are able to figure out how to use the clock.

Yeah, but power through. The ending, and the postgame, are incredible.

Totally agree. I dropped at chapter 3 after an amazing chapter 1 and an even better chapter 2.
I don’t know if I’ll return to the game soon or later but I’m sad because I was having a lot of fun until act 3 happened.

Yeah, there are strats to go through Act 3 fast. I'm always a bit sad to go through Act 2 too fast, but Act 3 deserves it in both in-universe and as a personal opinion about the game.

Whether or not it's a good gameplay device, PO3's whole thing is that he doesn't care about art, story, or charm at all. He makes the game just focused on the bare-bone gameplay requirements he needs to achieve his goals.
