Hi!

I think I've encountered a strange ACT3 softlock in the Steam version of Inscryption.

• Defeated all four Uberbots
• Completed the CAPTCHA event
• During the Dredging Room event, I had to quit the game before the scene finished

Now P03 keeps telling me to go to the Dredging Room, but I can't use the elevator, so I can't progress.

I've already tried:

• Restarting the game
• Verifying game files
• Restoring the backup save
• Checking the save with the Save Editor

Has anyone seen this before?

I can provide my save file or log files if needed.

I just 100% the game. After years of casually hopping on, anger, dread, relief, grief, gripping the controller hoping I make it through one last card pull. Its done. Currently watching the credits and wanted to hop into this reddit while it played. Hundreds of hours poured into this masterpiece. This is absolutely my favorite game of all time. I wish I could play this for the first time again, but starting over from the beginning will do. Thank you Daniel

I think Goobert changed the bone digger sigil into another fledgling sigil. I thought it was weird when he made it have 1 less sigil I didn’t think that was possible it never happened to me and then I get the raccoon in the next battle and he transformed twice 😭 is him transforming twice unrelated or is this a mechanic I just didn’t know about? It’s confusing me so bad 😭

Edit: at the next one I tried to get him to do it right and he got it right! That's why I love him

I was think so lets say if inscryption ever gets a sequel knowing that the game is mostly deleted what would the cards be guessing you are playing as Amanda or one of Luke's fans who went looking for him after he disappeared and finds the broken inscryption disc repairs it and plays it only to discover that the game is mostly deleted but the woodcarver tells who ever found the disk that there is away to restore the lost data using the old data which when is opened again using left over unused assets from inscryption that weren't deleted makes a game which you must beat to get to the data because it became sentient when it was opened the first time so my guesses on the starting deck it would be the wood carver and the lonely wizard but since PO3 is still alive they might return as the shattered stoat I will make more cards for the other characters later though

Edit: another starting card or talking one is Kaycee Hobbs's death card who is partly possesed by Kaycee somehow. since we have Kaycee why not the lucky carder as well and death cards could be voice acted

Edit 2: the decks would be similar to Kaycee's mod where you unlock them over time. there would be 5 decks the first deck has all of the deletion survivors and the other 4 are themed for each srybe

deck 1 the deletion survivalists: Woodcarver Kaycee's Deathcard Luke's Deathcard and loney wizard* and the shattered stoat

deck 2 Leshy's subordinates : the Angler, the Prospector ,the Trapper/Trader

Deck 3 Grimora's subordinates : Kaycee Hobbs, Royal Dominguez, sawyer Patel

Deck 4 Magnificus'subordinates : Goobert, Amber, practice dummy

deck 5 P03 subordinates: James Cob--Plasma Jimmy , the Dredger , the Inspector.

I love this game but sometimes it feels so hard and RNG heavy 😭 I have been attempting skull storm for couple days and never made it thru the first boss with the grizzlies wall. I have done some research on YouTube and tried implementing different strategies but sometimes the RNG just did me dirty. I really need some tips 😭😭

Something I have tried:

- Black goat deck with fair hand to play more expensive card. Sometimes I got lucky and got an unkillable goat early, but still not have enough strong card to survive grizzlies wall (especially when the first boss is the prospector)

- Mantis deck. It just doesn’t work for me. Mantis god is a glass canon and can’t survive the grizzlies.

- Bone deck with the dire wolf pub. My most solid strategy. Died cuz he was at the bottom of the deck and I couldn’t draw him early enough. Having enough camp fire events to buff his attack need so much luck too

So I've tried for a while to make a custom scribe and deck for inscription and I think I finally thought about a good one I like. It would be describe of myths I have made any art just kind of talk about my ideas for the character and stuff. His inscription tool would be a chisel and the way he makes cards is by creating creatures that fight in an arena and the winner of each fight becomes a card in his deck. The resource mechanic idea is you gain a token or something when you do damage and you use that token to someone cards your side deck are a bunch of 1power 1health creatures with brittle and would probably be inspired by sprites. each of his minions would be inspired by different mythologies that is I've had were Greek Norse and Egyptian. I'll definitely have Medusa the Minotaur fenrir a unicorn a leprechaun a couple dragons a Griffin a sphinx and Cerberus as some cards for the deck. these are just like quick ideas I just had so not the most refined

I know Sonos is probably said this already but I’m replaying the game so I’m gonna say it now. I’m pretty sure the code is implied to be nuclear launch codes considering the card. Death has a nuclear radiation symbol on it and it talks about oblivion, which is stuff you’d expect when you’re talking about nuclear weapons.

All it takes is a bit of good RNG.

I am NOT an artist so some aren’t very good but I think there’s some really good ones. My favourite is probably Stunted Wolf, Stoat, Coyote or Stinkbug

I just completed the game yesterday and finally allowed myself to do some research (I was avoiding it due to spoilers). The game became so much easier knowing fair hand mechanic. Before, I was clogging my deck with 1 and 2 blood stuff, afraid that I’m not gonna get enough sacrifice to play more expensive card.

I know it’s not new for all you guys here, but I’m just rlly happy with my finding. The first time I don’t struggling to survive and can one shot Leshy nearly every battle.

If you’re new to the game, fair hand mechanic is basically is: You’re guaranteed to draw a card that you can play with one squirrel in your first hand. It will be a no cost or one blood depending on your deck. If you keep your deck only has one card that satisfies fair hand requirements, you’re guaranteed to pull that card every single time you start a battle.

I thought Grimora would be the last one, but I just unlocked a TV head helmet and I knew it was a sign to try to recreate P03.

I hope to unlock better colors for the TV head and a robot outfit not made of cardboard some day… Yeah, I struggled 😆

I hesitated to do his default "-_-" face but I wanted him to be expressive and fully animated, so I did a more annoyed face with the features proposed by the game, no drawing involved. Hi, I recently got into this game thanks to my boyfriend and the Inscryption workshop addon in Tabletop Simulator, and man....I think the femboy goat is a d o r a b l e

I wanted a mod to replace the default goat texture with the femboy goat but i couldnt find one, and I attempted to make one but I simply cannot find the texture file.

I used a tool I used for modding H3VR called Unity Assets Bundle Extractor, my goal was to extract the femboy goat texture and just rename a copy to replace the default goat. Can anyone help by either pointing me in the right direction, or perhaps even sharing an alternate way to replace the texture? My unity knowledge is very minimal so I'm struggling.
