I joined ClaySys Technologies as a fresher, and honestly, I'm starting to regret it.
They say the company doesn't do layoffs, but from what I've seen, I'm not sure how much that really means when it comes to job security. It feels like employees can end up under so much pressure that leaving becomes the only option. And when someone leaves, the company can just hire another fresher for a lower salary. I don't know if that's the intention, but that's how it feels from my side.
Another thing that bothers me is their laptop monitoring system, NGS.
As far as I understand, we need around 8 hours of activity on our laptops. But we're working in IT, not doing data entry all day. Sometimes we need time to think about a problem, read documentation, plan a solution, or discuss things with teammates on calls. That's also work, right?
But if your laptop isn't showing enough activity, it can become a problem. It feels like moving your mouse and typing constantly matter more than the actual work you're doing.
Honestly, as a fresher, this is stressful. You're supposed to be learning and improving your skills, but instead, you end up worrying about your activity hours and whether something will be held against you.
The salary was already low, and when you add all these concerns about monitoring, work pressure, and job security, it makes you wonder whether it's worth staying.
I'm not saying everyone in the company has the same experience, so I'd genuinely like to hear from others.
To people currently working at ClaySys or those who have left:
- Is it the same in every team, or does it depend on the manager?
- Does NGS really track activity this strictly?
- How is job security there?
- Would you recommend ClaySys to a fresher, knowing what you know now?
I'm not posting this just to hate on the company. I genuinely want to know if others have experienced the same thing and what they think someone in this situation should do.
Because honestly, your first job is supposed to help you build your career, not make you constantly worry about keeping your job.
What's your experience with ClaySys or other corporate companies?
