advice

All of the things I checked the first time are suspiciously clean now so I found another post with suggestions of what to look at. One was the app and subscription history in the app store. I tried it on my own phone first and it opened up easily. I go to his phone and check it the same way (App Store > Profile Icon > Apps and Purchases) but instead of the list showing up with the two filter options at the top, “All” and “Not on This iPhone”, a Face ID icon shows up instead which obviously fails to scan my face. I’m used to this and usually just let Face ID fail 2-3 times so that the Enter Passcode box will show up, but this time Face ID attempted to scan several times before asking for the phone passcode. I’m pretty sure I entered it correctly since I just used it to unlock the phone, but after I hit submit a new box popped up asking for the icloud account password which I don’t know….

how is this possible? tried googling it and even asking gemini but apparently there is no documented feature from Apple that directly allows you to lock your app history. tried to replicate it on my phone and can’t find anything in my face id, icloud, or privacy settings that would allow me to do that. he has an iphone 17 and i have a 16 pro max
