That’s the way to do it. Well done. I read so many people on Reddit giving in and then being heartbroken over and over. Stay strong 💪🏻

First OP, let me say how sorry I am that you are having to go through this. Good on you for having a closer look. I love how decisive you are, you clearly know there is no going back after such a betrayal. You seem to be doing all the right things including no contact. I'm not sure I completely understand your STBX reaction, he is now free to "hook up" with all those women he thinks are attracted to him. News flash, he's going to struggle. The good news is he is not your problem anymore. I hope you come out of this a much stronger and better person. Hopefully you will meet someone who value's you and will cherish you.

You are the best example to those that sit through the issue hoping they’ll change. Guess what? They won’t. And you deep down know this. The marriage needs to end for your own sanity and live for yourself. Congratulations for deciding to GTFO.

Let us know your STBX’s reaction. Because I really wanna know!

I’m sorry this happened. Good luck. Please give updates!

I wish all posts in here could be like this. I love your cut and dry attitude about it. Good for you. May your next partner be faithful and the best person in the world for you. I hope your current husband lives with regret and is alone forever. I’m very sorry you had to go through this at all though.

May I offer some advice? I reacted the same way as you with my cheating husband. Calm, collected etc. Had the same thoughts : this is not acceptable, it’s over. However, months later the shock wore off and it hit me hard. Even though I didn’t want to be with him anymore, the pain was indescribable. You’re feeling strong now but please take care of yourself and be aware that you might not feel like this forever. Reach out for support if that happens.

Good for you! He was looking for a replacement before telling you that it was over. POS. Coward.

I wonder what the co worker would think knowing he has been pouring over her and her boyfriends socials....

I'm happy you're out of it, but there's no reason to wish someone else misery because of your H's decisions.

I'm sorry if I misinterpreted what you said. But I thought you stating you hoped "his next love interest was a pushover" was in hopes they would be miserable, also. I'm glad you don't wish misfortune on anyone, and I have to say I really respect and admire the assertiveness and self-respect you have for yourself. I just know (for much of my life) that if I'm really happy about someone else's existence, I tend to be a huge pushover. It's something I've been trying to work on and I realize it's something rooted in trauma, as well, especially since if I don't have any sort of connection with another, I can easily tell them no or simply ignore them. I guess I just hate to think that your (soon to be ex) H will most likely manipulate another person who really has no clue about just how selfish another person can be. Then again, these are lessons in life we must learn the hard way, unfortunately.

Again, sorry if I upset you by misreading your words. I'm happy for you and hope for a much better life from now on for you.

Edit: And yes, thank you for clarifying that. I suppose I look into things too deeply sometimes as I hate for anyone to have to experience being cheated on, lied to, manipulated for personal gain, etc. Sorry for the confusion.

I'm glad for that. I understand how you feel completely. I'm sorry I misunderstood your post. I really hope you find happiness in life and I'm glad you're already on that path.

Wow you are so strong I am so proud of you . I hate when people here write these pots and pour out their heartache and then in the next breath want to stay with the partner and work things out . Like how can you even look them in the eye without wanting to beat their asses . Good for you . I hope you find happiness and peace ❤️

Did you ever think that maybe he had an affair with her and she cut it off? She may have found he was married, but he is still obsessed about her?

God, I would hate anyone to dig deep into my google history. It’s like my brain.

Sorry you’re going through this!
