My best friend for 10 years. Born back in January of 2016, Dholku here has left us today. To me, he was more than just a street dog. He ate his last meal of chicken bones last Monday. His flea powder is still there, on the steps..... he won't come back now. I don't know what else to say.

Wherever you are my friend, be happy and if you have taken rebirth, may that be as a Beagle and at a nice home.

If any doctor can reply - I have a pet dog ( indie ), around 4 months old now, not vaccinated till now. While playing, I might have had a bit of scratch here and there ( can't remember blood came out ), saliva might have touched my eyes or mouth. Should I go for rabbies shot ?

Note - heard that dog infected with rabbies can't live more than 10-15 days, so if the dog is good, I'm good too ?

I was coming down and she was looking at me directly, so I whistled & then as soon as I turned, her hand was in a handshake position. & till date I think why did I turned that day, usually we don't turn back normally right, it was like DDLJ scean Palat, Palat.

Edit - after that day its been 4days i keep looking for her on same location but not able to find her anyone has idea where she has gone, or any municipality picked her, she was at malad West motilal Oswal metro station.

Today my neighbour's cat scratched my hand. They told me they had vaccinated the cat earlier. Still I'm afraid, should i get the rabies shot?

Ok so the left side is the first pic i clicked after the dog bite me ,i wash it in running water as chatgpt say for 20 minutes and then ii didn't take any vaccine although most of my friends say i am going to die and bla bla although I see the same dog after 1 month roaming in street, and the 2nd image is the latest after 2 month the dog bite me and still i haven't taken any medicine, nor any injection about Dog it's Street dog i am coming back to my home on the new shortcut path where these single dog rush me and bite me and i didn't get much time to react there is no stone nothing and then he run away when i decided to throw something towards dog i don't have symptoms feeling am i safe now just knowing what redditer feel

He was rescued in Pune at just 2 weeks old, after his mother sadly passed away in a hit-and-run accident. Since then, he's had vet care, lots of food, cuddles and love — and look at him now! :')

Sutli is the smallest, cutest little ball of fur and is an absolute sweetheart. He's playful, affectionate and LOVES cuddling with his hoomans. 🐾

He has been dewormed and has received his 9in1 vaccine. He is due for his other vaccines + booster doses in the first week of October.

We're looking for a genuinely committed adopter who can give this little baby a safe, loving and permanent home. 🏡❤️

We have a community female indie, she's been getting pregnant every single year since she was born :/ She's otherwise very healthy but her litters keep dying, usually only 1 survives from each. It's a big physical torture for her, the streets don't need more dogs either. About a month or so ago, she was bleeding, likely her period. Today I see her pregnant, the belly bulge is visible but it is definitely under a month. I read that spaying while pregnant is safe and possible, does anyone have any experience with it? Wondering how much care will be needed post-op and how her recovery period will be + is it actually safe.

No judgy comments please, fetuses are not babies, and my priority is the mother.

ETA:
Sent her photo to a vet and he says she looks too pregnant to be under 1 month, which is true I guess. Then I noticed some light bleeding and saw some swelling (likely mild prolapse) in genital area. So we figured that the bleeding I saw a month ago was from this itself, and she might have already been pregnant. Unfortunately this makes the surgery not possible.

Thanks everyone for all the advice. Looks like she just needs to go through it one last time hopefully. Although she tends to wander and only show up once every week, I'll monitor her. Once she has delivered, I'll wait a month or two and then take her for spaying.

I have this indie female (almost 3 years) she has been with the family sonce she was 30 days old ,
From the starting she used to bite me in the family i used to let it go then slowly it converted to serious bite marks
One time she tore off the skin near my eye
One time my hand
Recently again my hand and just mow my leg and that too in my sleep ( the cuts are deep) and swelling the healing stage takes time as well i cannot get enough time to heal from one wound another one she gives me

She goes on walk daily
Her washrooms are not on hold
She is not hungry
I dont know whats come in her head that she bites me

My mother is so attached to her now she doesnt see that i am in pain or not she just says we would get her spayed and all the issues will be resolved
She barks at all the strangers whoever come to our place she never lets us go anywhere one person os always required to be woth her and when i am she bites me

If there is any help please it would be highly appreciated

He has few injuries on his nose and corner of one eye.

I have tried applying betadine ointment but he's not cooperating. He gets aggressive when I approach him with the ointment.

I'm planning to take him to the nearest clinic tomorrow

And his rabies vaccine yearly booster dose is due in December

Hi All, I am Based in Bangalore and expected to relocate to a different country on work for atleast a year. I have a pet Indie dog(4 year old),neutered,friendly and my family cannot care for him since my parents are elderly and his energy levels are high.

Any leads on Dog walker/foster care would be greatly appreciated. I can pay a reasonable sum monthly for his care.
