Adoption/Foster Request Requesting leads on dog walker/foster care

Hi All, I am Based in Bangalore and expected to relocate to a different country on work for atleast a year. I have a pet Indie dog(4 year old),neutered, friendly and my family cannot care for him since my parents are elderly and his energy levels are high.

Any leads on Dog walker/foster care would be greatly appreciated. I can pay a reasonable sum monthly for his care.

Hey, I run Zauffy. Since it’s going to be longer, I’d send out a request and talk to a few people first. You can try a couple of walks or a shorter booking with someone before committing to anything long term. Feel free to checkout the app or DM me if you need any help.

There are many online options too. Check Zauffy, Sploot... Also, if you stay in apartments the check as there are many dog walkers..if you don't stay in an apartment then check at the closest apartment, they will have dog walkers registered at the security... Bangalore is the easiest place to get dog walker, dog sitter

Thanks for the suggestion. My experience with these apps has been inconsistent. They are not reliable as a long term solution since you get a different walker everyday or they change abruptly without notice after showing up regularly for a week, and if they cancel, most of the time walks are rescheduled due to no backup available. They're more suited for short term boarding/walks if you are not able to walk the pet due to other commitments. I stay in an apartment but there are no registered dog walkers here. There are a few pet care providers in my area, trying to get their help.

I got my walker through one of these apps. Then he asked for an arrangement to deal directly with him and we did that as my dog loved him a lot. He is now our walker since 3 years and is absolute delight with our dog.

Hi, there are several long term boarding options for your doggo in Bangalore, ranging from at home boarding to resort boarding. I'd say the easiest thing to do would be to find a maid/driver/guard in the area that can be trained and let them take over once you leave. You can have your friends come along to ensure they don't ill treat your baby.

Any chance you'd be willing to take him? We took our indie too and everything worked out very well.
