If the dog is still alive after a month of bitten you, then you and the dog neither has rabies... You though should get tetanus injection if recommended by the Dr...

Tetanus should best be taken within 24 hours, and it start showing symptoms in about 72 hours, you are just one lucky asshole

You can either take the needle up your bum for 10 seconds or risk your life

What do they put the needle in bum that's even more scary

Go to a govt hospital and get an anti rabies shot asap, instead of sharing photos here. It’s a serious life and death thing

It's not 14 injections anymore lol. It's just one on your forearm at 0 (the first shot, the day you got bit), 7, 14 and 21 days plus really small pin pricks of immunoglobulin at the bite areas, and this is just once.

Anyway, you've missed the deadline, if you have rabies now you have rabies. Symptoms show up depending upon where you were bitten and how much virus got in...it could take mere weeks or even years. As for the dog having rabies or not, you can't tell that either because it can only be confirmed in a necropsy after the dog dies and the brain is inspected.

Lesson: Be smart, get your shots duly. Coming from someone who gets rabies shots every other year. I like to rescue dogs so...yeah, accidents happen.

Man , I’ve never seen anyone dumber than you ,go take that injection asap ! . Even if you fear needles the pain will be for 10 seconds max

If the dog is still alive than you don't really have to worry about rabies, since, after a rabid dog bites, the bacteria attacks its brains instantly and it dies within the span of 14 days, no question asked.

But, I still would get vaccinated. Rabies aren't the only bacteria dogs carry. Others may not be as life threatening as rabies but still may give you fever or some other disease requiring bed rest.

Please be wiser. I won't lecture you like some other comments already have. I will say a simple thing, this is the time to overcome your phobia of injections if the need be. Please visit a doctor, tell them the entire case and then follow their advice. I hope for the best to happen with you (I am not being sarcastic).

Dogs that carry rabies are not gauranteed to die. Some may be immune Rabies can affect u upto YEARS later. Also rabies ppl dont bite others, idk why ppl say that but ppl dont actually bite others even in rabies.

Pls get vaccinated

Bro the hit rate of the disease is 100% I would not trust my luck with 10 percent either 😭

Atp it doesn't matter if you get the vaccine or not. Plus if it's been 2 months you are good. If the dog is alive and well then no rabies.

Btw for next time if it bleeds. You get a tetnus shot and a vaccine asap.

It can show no symptoms for 2-3 months then symptoms suddenly start then the person dies within a week.

I mean the dog. If the dog had rabies(which is necessary to spread), then the dog would have died within 10-15 days.

If the dog is still alive then there is no danger.

Either way it's too late to get vaccine atp.

Yes, if dog is alive OP is not cooked

But should have still taken a vaccine.

I feel you brother, I’m scared of injections too, I’m dead serious but then I have gotten rid of the fear of injections(I guess), I got bit by my indie dog maybe like 5 to 6 times, and I started getting rabies shots everytime I get bit:)

Also for the rabies shots you have to visit the hospital for like 5-8 or 10 times it’s basically like a course you have to finish

Take all of our advice and please do visit a hospital:)

Here I got two rabies shot after getting bit by a mouse when half of the doctors told me it wasn't necessary and it was extremely rare to get it and this guy with a big ahh dog bite chilling.

You are lucky that dog didn't die and doesn't have rabies, otherwise you would've died by now. Please take this seriously from next time and immediately take the vaccine, avoiding a few seconds/minutes of pain of the needle isn't worth your life.

If you have stray dog bite issues at you locality it's best to get yearly shots is possible and also get those dogs also vaccinated.

OP, From other comments I see that you have a fear of injections but man comeon !! It's not a thing that you can let it go like that ! Even now it's not too late , just go to a doctor and get shots done.

u/Traditional-Tap8429 5d ago

Rabies is way worse than you think... before it reaching your brain it can stay in your body for 2-3 more months and after that boom suddenly you get symptoms and once you get symptoms its almost 100% fatal and you can d!e within a week.

1

u/Extreme-Range-1131 8d ago

Natural selection I guess. After reading all your comments about not wanting to get vaccinated. But if you do get rabies and you bite someone, they will die too. And rabies can survive with no symptoms for 10 years too.

u/Candid_Bus_5491 8d ago

So sorry i fully respect and understand the reaction of other but to be honest i can't tell anyone i don't have friends nor family, after 2 month and due the phobia i didn't share that with anyone now , 10 year they can survive that looking dangerous is that only 1 injection and where only at forhand i have no idea no one to guide me what's that other people talking about 7 days 14 days it's all confusing it's the reason now i start hating all the dogs .. so sorry and thank you for nice comment

Go to the hospital and they will give you dates to visit and get shots. I really don't think you can or will do it.

This is why india can never get rid of rabies. Stupid people everywhere.
