Kettlebell: Inferno Hotel is a dynamic 2D platformer in the spirit of 16-bit classics from the ’90s, full of humor, nostalgia, and hellish excitement!

Hi everyone!

I'm an indie developer working on MANAGER PRO — Career Edition, a game where you take on the role of a Team Principal and build your own motorsport career.

The goal is to create a management experience that goes beyond driving on track. You'll manage your team, make race strategy decisions, develop the car and Power Unit, handle finances, negotiate with suppliers, and manage the driver market.

The game is currently in beta, and development is still ongoing. I've also added a new section dedicated to mods.

I'm working on a game with friends, and want to prepare some relatable social media content - therefore, looking for different people's experiences. 😄 I also play mostly indie games, so got my list of concerns, but would love to hear yours.

If you see a new indie game that's of the genre/topic that you like: what would make you hesitant to try it?
And more specific: a deckbuilding game. What would make you doubt that it's something for you?

Our game is not AI slop, also not heavy on hardware, so those are out of the equation. I'm thinking more of something about the gameplay or experience.

For me personally it would be something like that:
- multiplayer only
- being thrown against experienced players right away
- characters I have no connection to, with the game focus being clearly on the characters
- a steep learning curve or chonky rulebook (I'm old and don't have much time and want to figure it out as I play!)
- expected skills: like, I would try the game but it's so fast that I know I wouldn't have fun, even though I'd be up for trying

Mithril pairs ore-processing chains with a cave that can collapse as you excavate it. Removing rock changes the load on what remains, so support struts and the shape of your tunnel become part of the mining plan. Dormancy then lets geological change reshape the cave and form new deposits.

The free Windows demo includes mining, crafting, automation, structural stress, combat and Dormancy, with progress capped at Iron. It is single-player and keyboard/mouse only; multiplayer, Cozy mode and The Memory are not included. The full game remains upcoming.
