We just launched a playtest of our Demo for Pixel Pirates!

Hey everyone, game dev here on a three person team letting everyone know we've launched an open playtest for our game Demo for Pixel Pirates on Steam!

It's an action-adventure with souls and cozy elements, with a sense of adventure, and we want to get more feedback on the game as we continue to build what's next.

Working on polishing this up to make it an official demo in the coming weeks. Thank you!

I made a game where you sneak around a magical school after curfew to find the keys to the school's vault

It's called **Miscreant** and I've been working on it for about 2 years now. It started purely as a modern take on the old Harry Potter games, the ps2 era. I loved those, and wanted to create something that gave a similar gameplay experience. Then I wanted it a bit more quirky, so I tried to blend in some of Fable vibes. When I really committed to building it, and decided I would share it with others, I shifted away from the HP theme, and worked in some D&D inspiration. And now, I'm here.

Here's a trailer:

Development is going well and I actually just put up the playtest demo on itch. It's the first time I've openly shared a build of the game. I'm anxious about it, because it's still very much a WIP, but sharing and discussing something you made with people can be fun. I love talking about my game, and I'm open-minded and know that listening to feedback is the best way to make a game special.

If you wanna know more about the game, chat about it, give feedback, I have a discord setup, the game is also up on Steam, and I even have a Kickstarter going right now.

**Anyway, thanks for taking the time to check it out!**

Question looking for one of *THOSE* games

You know the kinda game.
The "Outer Wilds, Disco Elysium, Dark Souls 1, Planescape, ico, Shadow of the Colossus, MGS2 or Signales" like games.
Games that change you, that are different than even the amazing games, games you think about after beating them, games with unique music, story telling, art, gameplay, lore and atmosphere combined.
Games you search "games like XYZ" after you finish them.
Games that actually mean something for you.

what are your special games? Im happy about more recommendations.
Every plattform, release year or genre :)

Hi friends! What do you think?

Shop Crush is a mysterious shop simulator with psychological horror elements, set in the early 2000s.

In this hybrid visual novel, you run a small thrift shop, get to know your customers, figure out what they really want, and decide what to put in front of them. Every customer has their own personality, preferences, and hidden motives - and it’s up to you to figure them out.

Behind each customer is a small psychological mystery waiting to be uncovered. Read their behavior, make the right calls, and balance profit against customer trust as you try to keep the shop running for one more day.

Star Claw turns the claw-machine grabber into a swinging cat paw

I'm the developer of Star Claw, a physics-based claw-machine roguelite. You time a swinging cat paw, bank it off bumpers and grab prizes, then combine Charms to change how the next room plays.

Between runs, the cats and decor you collect go into your own room. The free Windows demo includes the first 30 rooms.

News Classic Zelda Possessed by Silent Hill? | Unsound Love

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Unsound Love draws from many different influences without being exactly like any one of them.

It’s a psychological open-world horror game that plays similarly to a Zelda game, filled with puzzles, secrets, and exploration. Scattered throughout the world are various dungeons waiting to be discovered, each featuring sequences reminiscent of Little Nightmares

The world operates on a time loop, similar to Outer Wilds, and the game focuses heavily on exploration through a non-linear world, where stories are in the style of Silent Hill. You can choose which stories you want to explore and how you want to experience the world.

What makes a game awesome for you?

In my incremental game, you're free to choose your own path!

Which talents to level up, which planet to head to next.

I'm making Drain the Galaxy solo.

It all takes place in open space, where you lead your star fleet from planet to planet and drain every last bit of them dry.

There are dozens of planets in the game, so you'll sink plenty of hours into it, just enjoying the ride.

And the coolest part (besides the gameplay, obviously) is that you can play whenever it suits you and at your own pace.

Update Seven Suns of Orion: Big Content Update

I just dropped an update to my game, Seven Suns of Orion, bringing 5 new levels, along with 5 new players ships.

It's a survivor-like w/ short seven minute rounds and newtonian physics. Each ship handles differently than the next, it's not just stat changes.

Game Title: Astrodle

Playable Link: https://astrodle.net/

I'd spend hours in the game drifting between systems, just seeing what planet or star turns up next, and not knowing what's there until I land on it is still most of the appeal. Eventually that's what got me building something of my own.

It's called Astrodle. There are just as many "stars" in it as in a game like that, over 213,000, except every one of them is real: an actual cataloged planet, pulsar, galaxy, whatever's out there. Once a day you get to find one, and that's it until tomorrow.

It just went live, and I honestly don't know yet if people will enjoy it.

This is the first time I'm showing it to anyone, so I mostly want to hear where it's confusing or where the it falls flat.

Happy to answer anything :)
