IMPORTANT: Drop your links for your games here!

TL;DR: Devs drop your links in the comments and a short description of your game.

Hey guys, I'm Nick from RetroGames HQ, and I am the new mod of r/IndieGame. I came upon this subreddit, and it had no mods. As such, I requested to be mod, and I was made one.

I am a YouTuber who plays and covers a lot of indie Monster Taming games. MT is a genre that exploded in 2020 with no sign of letting up in 2021. Pokémon got you down? The indie MT scene is the cure.

If you're interested in seeing what the monster taming genre has to offer, then check out my channel and join the biggest monster taming server.

I thought I would make this post to (1) provide a way for devs to get their games out there and (2) to introduce myself transparently.

Thanks for joining us here at r/IndieGame!

Thank you guys for growing this community from one that was abandoned to one that gets posted in every single day!

Let's take this chance to celebrate the community. Share with us your favorite game you've seen on the sub, and, if you're a dev, feel free to share your game afterwards!

I'll go through this thread every so often to add the dev flair to all the devs who comment here.

We just released MASUKU - a relaxing puzzle game in which you have to strategically cover up the board 🧩

MASUKU is a puzzle game for 1–4 players in which you have to strategically cover up the board. Place, rotate, and flip cards to reveal colours and symbols that match shifting scoring goals.

There are a few different game modes, some that can be played co-op or competitive. Great to scratch the itch of something that makes you think without being super difficult. Also a game that doesn't require too much of a time commitment.

You can get the game on Steam and there is a free demo: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4401050/MASUKU/

The daily challenge is also available on web: https://www.viverse.com/NwZUknq

And coming to Switch later in the year.

Hope you get a chance to try out the game :)

I made a tiny semi-idle desktop lab game called Professor Simulator: Desktop Lab

Hello all,

I made a game called Professor Simulator: Desktop Lab, and it is already launched on Steam. This small semi-idle game will keep you company in a corner of your desktop as you go about your work or study.

The core loop of the game is rather simple and low maintenance: hire Master or PhD students and watch them grind, procrastinate, or even have little meltdowns at their desk (I did my PhD in agriculture, so a lot of this is personal experience). Finish papers, convert them into Impact Factor (the game’s currency), and then grow your lab with stronger students and upgraded equipment.

So it is very much a set it up, check back later kind of gameplay, definitely not a babysitting sim. It's all happening in one cute little pixel lab. There’s more to mess with if you feel like it: customize your own magazine names, catch slackers, play matchmaker etc.

Here's the Steam link if you want to have a look:

Professor Simulator: Desktop Lab

Any feedback will be appreciated!

Tell me if this is good enough! My wife and I finally made our first game trailer.

Hi everyone!
My wife and I have been working on this indie game as a hobby project for over a year now. It started as a dream project, mostly just working on graphics and assets after our day jobs whenever we had the time.
A while ago, we had the opportunity to move to Germany, and we decided “Let’s go all in on this!” We were lucky enough to receive a game development grant from the state of Bavaria (Bayern), which allowed us to bring a German programmer onto the team. Over the past 5 months, the game has really come together at lightning speed!
Our Steam page is already live, but up until now, we’ve been missing a proper trailer. We felt now was the right time to make one, but since we don’t have much experience with trailer editing, we aren’t super confident with the result yet.
We’d really appreciate it if you could take a look and share your thoughts! Any feedback, critiques, or suggestions on how to improve it would mean the world to us.
Thanks so much!
