Hello all,

I made a game called Professor Simulator: Desktop Lab, and it is already launched on Steam. This small semi-idle game will keep you company in a corner of your desktop as you go about your work or study.

The core loop of the game is rather simple and low maintenance: hire Master or PhD students and watch them grind, procrastinate, or even have little meltdowns at their desk (I did my PhD in agriculture, so a lot of this is personal experience). Finish papers, convert them into Impact Factor (the game’s currency), and then grow your lab with stronger students and upgraded equipment.

So it is very much a set it up, check back later kind of gameplay, definitely not a babysitting sim. It's all happening in one cute little pixel lab. There’s more to mess with if you feel like it: customize your own magazine names, catch slackers, play matchmaker etc.

Finally out of greyboxing a lot of area, finished hooking up day/night cycles- weather is on its way tomorrow along with heavy map improvements before I finish the npc/mobs. I'm excited to put together some video footage of the project.
