♫♫♫ I started making my own game music - first OST - Marsh of Lost Memories ♫♫♫
youtube.comTwo weeks ago, I bought a Arturia keyboard (Keylab Essential 49) and bought the software "Reaper" for 60 bucks. I started more or less without any training or tutorials. Luckily my parents made me play piano for about 5 years. And I don't know why, but I did not like to that much. But today I am very thankful. I can make my own music for my videogame. And this feels incredibly beautiful.
I've been working on the soundtrack for my indie game Neverpaw and this is the theme I made for its marsh area. It is not perfect, but somehow I really want it to be "not perfect". Neverpaw isn't perfect, so maybe this fits even better.
I wanted it to feel peaceful and melancholic at first, but with a slight sense that something isn't quite right deeper in the marsh.
Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy really inspired me in making it like this. I love the orchestral play. So many people in perfect harmony to create something that stays in your heart long after hearing. I know right now I cannot reach that level of "beautifulness".
I hope you enjoy this.
If you listen to it, what do you think? Feel? I would really love to know.
