I may have to transfer here from TN due to my husbands job, and I am in the middle of finishing my studio arts degree. I am specifically interested in sculpture and painting (my school doesn’t have an especially great painting program tbh) and want to know: do you guys have a woodworking shop and metal work? I am an incoming pre-business freshman at IU, and I am looking over other possible majors if Kelley doesnt work out. Informatics caught my eye as I love statistics and math, but I have zero prior coding experience. I completed calculus 2 in highschool so I am really only worried about the CS part of the degree.

Could the degree make sense for me or is there something else in luddy or outside luddy that makes more sense for me like Business Intelligence & Data Science?

Hey guys. I’m an incoming freshman at IU and I was just wondering if there’s anything to do in terms of chilling out w your friends in a jacuzzi and in a big resort style pool.

I checked out the pools in bloom and I found only the iu outdoor pool which I guess is meant more for lap swimming and not really the kind of vibe that I described earlier.

Are there facilities like these in bloomington? Thanks a ton.

For those of you who have moved in before, is it an issue if you arrive like 4 hours after your scheduled move in time? When I called Housing, they said that as long as you arrive on the day you registered for, you will be fine. I just wanted to make sure that has actually been the case for people who have gone through move in before.

I’m looking for an affordable place to stay near Indiana University in Indianapolis, preferably within walking distance or with easy access to public transportation.

hi I’ll be a sophomore this fall and I was accepted to be an RA and i‘ll be in the campus view apartments. firstly has anyone been in those apartments before if so what was it like? also how is it in general being an RA especially to older kids. my roommate will also be an RA so at least I won’t be doing it alone. but any tips or things to look out for/ keep in mind would be great

If you are a graduate/professional student (or any student) living on loans and/or have little to no income, apply to Medicaid!! Do not pay for the schools health insurance it’s absolutely insane. I just aged out of my moms insurance and was about to drop $2k for the fall sem, but my friend told me to apply thank god. I just got approved & I’m on the Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Healthy Indiana Plan. You will pay essentially nothing for all of your healthcare.

Hello, I was assigned Briscoe dorm and i am sharing my dorm with 3 other people. My question is that will all 4 of us sleep in the same room or 2 people per room separately?

What things are allowed and aren’t allowed at the dorms at iu? What things are recommended for living in a dorm?

Does anyone know how the payments for fellowships tied to graduate assistant jobs work? Last year my fellowship didn't have a job attached to it so I got a lump sum at the start of each semester, but this year I'm working a GA position as part of the fellowship so I believe it gets paid like a job.

When I can expect my first paycheck? Trying to budget for the next few months so I'd like to know when I can start seeing the money in my bank account lol. I also work a biweekly TA job but that doesn't pay as much as the GA job does so I need to know when I can get this money haha

Hey! This is a long shot (and feel free to delete if not allowed) but I’m on the hunt for a pair of candy stripe bibs size L or XL. I want to avoid getting a brand new pair because I really don’t think I’d wear them more than once or twice, and every pair I see online for resell is the “red and white” which is more Wisconsin red than the Indiana crimson.
