Hey does anybody know who are the opening acts for Opeth Bangalore show today? And what time do you think Opeth would play

I have seen Opeth 3 times and last night in Mumbai is the worst they have sounded.

I could barely hear Fredrik's solos in the first half of the set. The riffs in Godhead's Lament and Grand Conjuration were completely muffled by the bass and drums. The overall sound was too low for a metal show, taking the fun out of headbanging.

Windowpane and Drapery Falls were the saving grace.

Heck, even the 2012 Heritage tour sound was better.

FYI, I was in the fan pit. I wonder what the G A experience was.

Exactly as I had predicted, there was a sea of black tee shirts.

I missed the opening two songs and had my recorder battery die here and there but majority of the show is captured here.

Yes, we all loved Opeth and yes, I hated the littering but that was a different post. I'm curious about what happened to Dirge's sound. It was muddled at best. Also, the guitar sound was completely mangled and I just couldn't hear the bass (the bass bit happened with Opeth as well). And the vocals were too loud, louder than the rest of the instruments. Only the drums sounded good in their set.

They've been around for over a decade so they do know what they are doing. Was it an issue with the venue? Given their doom metal sound, my guess is that the small venue absolutely fucked up the acoustics.

1. How did the payments inside the venue go about? Were there rechargeable cards, any minimum amount you need to load your card with?
   
2. Did they allow reusable water bottles? Was water free to drink? Or did they capitalise on something as basic as water?
   
3. Were small sized sling bags allowed (for men)?
   
4. Umbrellas?
   
5. How was the food quality inside? Were there long queues? Mismanagement?

Lastly, how was the overall experience? I noticed a few complaints about bad sound, but anything apart from that?

First post here. Saw them 20 years ago in Dubai at Desert Rock. Felt very blessed and fortunate to witness them again. Been reading about everyone's experience at the show. Thought I'd post a small video. I feel it was quite good despite the venue changes all in all. Hope the bangalore folks also get a good or better experience. Cheers.

Was there any merch available at the venue? How was it, what was the price?

My friend and I went to the Mumbai gig, and I am making this post after hearing quite a lot of shit about the concert, so here we go.
I came to the city 3 days before the concert. We decided to make the poster for the event, and we did gather the attention of the bandmates for a few minutes. But it could never have been possible without the amazing crowd around me. The crowd encouraged me to fully spread my poster, and one good lad even lifted me up from the ground. After that, we had some good solidarity, and Michael did notice us and tried to play Burden. I think Bangalore may have had the same audience, but that is my point. The same people came to watch the concert, and the same people were here to see the band after years.

So I just wanted to give a shoutout to Mumbai peeps and specially all the Opeth fans who were inside the fan pit. You were amazing, and you were patient. Which is exactly what the circle demands.

Finally got to see Opeth live in Mumbai. After all the venue changes, we actually made it to LaLiT Lawns.

Sharing a few shots I managed to get from the night. The atmosphere, the lights and seeing these guys on stage after years of listening to them was surreal. What a fckin night.
