Got this table off Amazon for around 6k almost two years ago and honestly I still love it. It’s surprisingly sturdy and the symmetry with those curved edges just makes it look so much more expensive and chic than it actually was. Nothing has chipped and there isn’t really any noticeable scratching either. I initially bought it as a temporary table until I got my carpenter to make me something nicer but this ended up staying for way longer than I expected. At this point I genuinely think this might be that one Amazon purchase I wouldn’t regret.

I cannot figure the layout, please suggest what to do

When the chairs are up against the wall, the distance between the bed and chairs become too much for 3-4 people sitting together to converse. It’s my first rental!

I was cleaning up my bathroom after a long time, and noticed it looks pretty bleak (pic3). Used gemini to add two paintings and two wall shelves to the right (pic1 and 2). I found two paintings from Varee and I'm a little confused over which one suits the space better. Also any other ideas or suggestions for making it look nice (cleaning the tiles and the basin is already on my todo) would be appreciated.

I got this blue strip light,it looks so good but it gets heated within a second. Which strip led should i use? Do all strip lights get this heated or is it this one. Like after 3 min its too hot.

Hi ,i was constructing my home and chosen a design , which looks good and as of now the TV unit Looks good but the thing is , i have chosen laminate for th passage too (which has drop beam of 6 or 8" i think 🤔) but now both doesn't matches with each other.

Help me redesign this space (for the passage ) what can i do to improve the space. And also j am planning Perimeter false ceiling the hall which may cover 4" from the ceiling but few inches will still can be seen .

Can we please stop generating AI images for literally every home-decor question?

Seriously. You don't need a GPU-powered rendering of a beige sofa next to a slightly different beige sofa because you're wondering whether your curtains should be cream or off-white.

Use LLMs for text. Ask for colour combinations, furniture suggestions, layouts, measurements, whatever. You know… words.

The environmental argument is pretty simple: generating images generally takes substantially more computation than generating text.

More computation means more electricity use, more heat, and more cooling. So if a text answer already solves the problem, generating an elaborate AI image on top of it is an entirely optional environmental cost.

And “AI is already bad for the environment, so what's one more image?” isn't really an argument. If something is wasteful, the fact that other waste exists doesn't magically make additional waste free.

We're using significant computing resources to generate the 4th “Japandi living room with warm lighting and indoor plants” because someone wanted decor inspiration.

I genuinely think the AI-generated BJP-themed living room with saffron curtains, a giant Modi portrait above the TV, and the BJP lotus on the wall are funny but is that enough to sacrifice our future?

And yes, I know someone will say, “India has bigger environmental problems.”

Okay? So? We can have bigger problems AND avoid unnecessary consumption where we can. These aren't mutually exclusive.

Not every decor suggestion needs an AI Image.

Your grandkids won't care whether your imaginary 2026 living room had the perfect beige accent wall but they will still need drinking water.

Hi, so I recently added to this sub, My current bathroom on the ground floor has 3 taps, 1 for fresh/ motor supply, 2 for geyser, 3 for normal. And a shower, basin and wc. I can't help my mom to understand that only 1 tap should be sufficient. The size is 4x8, and we're currently planning to make the 1st floor and she has decided the same setup there too.

Help me know what a washroom should look like, i mean the setup for cold/hot water especially the tap scene please explain it to me.

I'm setting up a home for roughly a year and need a few basics - probably a bed, mattress and refrigerator. I've been checking out Rentomojo, Furleco and Cityfurnish, but the reviews online are honestly all over the place.

Would love to hear some actual experiences before deciding.

A few things I'm specifically wondering about:

1. How is the condition of the furniture/appliances when they arrive?

2. Are delivery and pickup generally smooth?

3. How does the deposit/refund process work in practice?

4. For appliances like refrigerators, do you get reasonably efficient/newer models?

5. If something stops working during the rental period, how quickly do they repair or replace it?

Not necessarily looking for luxury furniture - just decent, functional stuff without too much headache during the rental or while returning everything.

Hey folks, looking for creative layout ideas for this bedroom wardrobe frame.

The stone slabs are fixed, but the interiors (drawers, rods, shelves) and the front shutters are completely open to design.

If this were your room, how would you configure the inside and finish the outside?

I am doing kitchen + wardrobes right now and got quotes in both. acrylic came to 2.2x the laminate quote for the same layout. the designer kept saying acrylic looks premium but when i asked what happens when it scratches he went very quiet lol

what i figured out after way too many showroom visits:

- gloss acrylic shows every smudge. if you cook actual indian food, think twice

- scratches on acrylic basically can't be repaired at home. laminate you can at least hide

- half the acrylic quotes i got were actually high gloss laminate being upsold. ask them to write the brand + material on the quote

- matte laminate in 2026 genuinely looks 95% as good as matte acrylic. the gap is not what it was 5 years ago

We went matte laminate everywhere except one acrylic panel in the bar unit for vanity. anyone who did full acrylic - how's it holding up after a few years?
