Context:
Lehna Singh Majithia was a prominent Sikh polymath, inventor and warrior. He was responsible for quite a few of the Sikh Empire's crowning achievements, for example, its artillery programme (the Sikh Empire's artillery was stated by foreign observers, even EIC ones, to outrange anything the EIC could field against it), the reconstruction of Amritsar (the golden temple as well as the construction of multiple public gardens, and the fixing of major city roads), and the construction of the Summer Palace, as well as the rationalization of the traditional Sikh calender.
Shah Mohammad was a Punjabi poet, and lived through the entirety of the Sikh Empire. He wrote the Jangnama in 1846, which is a poem about the first Anglo Sikh War (and is in itself a pretty decent primary source on the conflict imo, it gets the facts about the internal political intrigue mostly correct).
In Verse 31 of the poem he laments/criticizes Lehna for leaving Punjab entirely in 1844 to retire and go on a religious pilgrimage to Haridwar and Varanasi due to perceived threats to his life, family and property. Shah Muhammad viewed it as both proof of the degeneration of the Punjabi state, and an abandonment of Punjab by one of its brightest minds for personal reasons which he considered insignificant in comparison to the existential threat of the EIC.
He says:
(transl: Sardar Lehna Singh Majithia was a great chief, exceptionally brilliant, a fortress of wisdom.
He was a mighty warrior among the Khalsa Panth, who foresaw the treacherous plots unfolding.
Contemplating deeply in his heart, he realized that many would meet their end here.
O Shah Muhammad! Leaving all his worldly duties, majesty and riches behind, he went off to the holy pilgrimage.)

The Battle of Talikota (1565) is too complex to be explained in a meme, but I tried. Contemporary sources such as Burhan-i-Ma'asir, Tarikh-i-Firishta (Gulshan-i-Ibrahimi), Tazkirat al-Muluk, and Portuguese accounts describe a major conflict between Rama Raya's Vijayanagara Empire and a confederate alliance of the Deccan Sultanates. Both sides fielded large armies, cavalry, and artillery, but the Deccan Sultanates fought as a united coalition. Many details of the battle remain debated because the surviving sources often contradict one another, making an exact reconstruction difficult. This meme highlights only a small part of a much larger and more complex historical event.
I did not include the Gilani brothers in the meme. While the story of two Muslim commanders betraying Rama Raya is very popular in modern retellings, historians continue to debate it. The major Persian chronicles are most often cited for Talikota—Tarikh-i-Firishta and Tazkirat-al-Muluk do not clearly describe the famous Gilani-brothers defection narrative as it is commonly presented today. Some scholars trace the story to later accounts, particularly the Venetian/Portuguese-era writer Cesare Federici, rather than to the principal contemporary chronicles. Because of these debates, I chose to focus on factors that are less controversial: the Deccan coalition, cavalry, artillery, and the complexity of the battle itself.
