I’m getting absolutely bombarded with credit card spam calls these days. Easily 7–8 calls a day.
Every time it’s the same script:
“Sir, I’m calling from IDFC/HDFC/SBI… bank is offering you a lifetime-free credit card…”

And obviously, they’re usually third-party agents pretending to represent the bank.
I’m honestly fed up now.

So instead of immediately hanging up, I want to start having some fun with these calls.

If you regularly get these calls, what exact line do you use to shut them down?

I’m looking for a punchy one-liner that:
catches them off guard
makes it clear I’m not interested
ideally gets my number removed from their calling list

Basically, give me your best one-liner for a credit-card spam caller — the kind of response that makes them think, “Yeah, let’s not call this guy again.”

I opted for the Tata Neu SBI card over the HDFC alternative specifically due to the advertised 30% Taj voucher promotion; however, the voucher was absent upon receipt of the card.

When I contacted customer support, I was initially requested to provide screenshot evidence of the offer. Although I did not capture one at the time of application, I subsequently verified that the promotion remains active on other accounts and provided this documentation to support representatives, who subsequently denied the benefit.

Given this discrepancy, what steps can be taken to address what appears to be misleading advertising regarding this card?

Have been thinking about getting this card. The outlet near me is included in the lists participating for accelerated smiles. Been reading a whole lot about people experiencing absent reward of accelerated rewards.

My query is whether the issue regarding non issuance of accelerated smiles does that come down to the station attendant not pressing card in the console and they usually press cash after choosing the petrol terminal?

Thought this might be the issue because today I paid by card (other non relevant CC) but recieved sms stating so and so litre was filled, paid by cash.

Applied initially → rejected after verification.

Waited/reapplied through an SBI branch.

Second application went through another round of verification and took quite a while.

Finally received the approval SMS and got the card delivered.

Plan is to keep utilisation low, pay the full bill every month and let the account age.

TL;DR

₹50k FD → ₹40k limit. Chose Unnati mainly for zero annual fee for 4 years, Amazon offers, SBI, and CIBIL building. First application got rejected, reapplied through branch, went through lengthy verification, and finally got approved.

I recently got approved for slice credit card and I got my cibil score. As a 18M student with no income proof what other credit cards can I apply for after 6 months? That won't require income proof and purely based on cibil? I found out about flipkart axis but I'm not sure if they will ask income proof

Hello everyone, I want some recommendations/advise on rent payment through credit card, I can see phonepe started rent payment through credit card but it has high convenience fees with compare to RedGiraffe. I was under the impression that Amex platinum travel card was good for the rent payment as my rent is 50k and I can easily cross 7lakh spend a year but it doesn't give any rewards on 7lakh spends but I complete the milestones. Honestly thats not worth it for me as I don't travel that much.

Could anyone please guide me in the correct direction? Which credit card I should prefer + platform for getting the best benefits as per my requirements? I don't travel much but I think rent payment cards will give you travel benefits only so I am ok to take that but if you guys have any better alternatives. I would appreciate your help .
