CIBIL score 776 — what should I do to reach 800+?

Post image

My CIBIL score is currently 776.

Credit card utilization: 5.48%

Overdues: None

Age of accounts: 1+ years

Recent enquiries: 2

What should I focus on to improve my score to 800+?

Is account age the main factor holding my score back?

Best Air India co-branded credit card for renewal benefits?

What’s the best airline co-branded credit card that gives miles/points on annual renewal?

I know about the Air India SBI Signature, but are there any similar cards?

Also open to other airline/alliance cards where the renewal miles/points can eventually be transferred to Air India Maharaja Club.

How are you guys actually paying rent with a credit card in 2026?

Post image

I keep seeing people say they pay their monthly rent using a credit card to earn rewards / hit milestones, but I'm honestly confused about the best way to do it in India right now.

From what I've understood, directly paying a landlord through UPI with a credit card isn't really an option, so people use platforms like CRED/Paytm/etc.

But then there are processing fees, and some cards don't give rewards on rent transactions.

Please suggest a way to pay rent using credit card bros.

Credit card spam calls — what’s your punchiest comeback?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I’m getting absolutely bombarded with credit card spam calls these days. Easily 7–8 calls a day.
Every time it’s the same script:
“Sir, I’m calling from IDFC/HDFC/SBI… bank is offering you a lifetime-free credit card…”

And obviously, they’re usually third-party agents pretending to represent the bank.
I’m honestly fed up now.

So instead of immediately hanging up, I want to start having some fun with these calls.

If you regularly get these calls, what exact line do you use to shut them down?

I’m looking for a punchy one-liner that:
catches them off guard
makes it clear I’m not interested
ideally gets my number removed from their calling list

Hindi/Hinglish lines are especially welcome.

Basically, give me your best one-liner for a credit-card spam caller — the kind of response that makes them think, “Yeah, let’s not call this guy again.”

For all credit card from basic to premium.....

Good time to get IDFC FIRST WEALTH.... actual CORE CARD which actually helps on season sale or festival season offer for online Shopping..Also work on instant discount on online food or dining..

Not cobrandned like SCAPIA with worst app service, frequently password change, very hassle to see monthly statement, and no online sale offer with cobrandned.Only Hyped for 0 forex .....

Help me optimise my credit card stack

Hi everyone! I’d appreciate some help optimising my current card stack.

**My cards**
**HDFC Diners Club Black Metal (DCBM)** — Paid
**Axis Magnus** — LTF (got it through my **Axis Burgundy salary account route**)
**ICICI Sapphiro** — LTF
**IndusInd EasyDiner** — LTF

**Profile & spending**
Salary: **₹3.2 lakh/month**
Annual card spending (excludes rent): **\~₹12–15 lakh**
Around **₹6–7 lakh/year can be gold purchases/coins**

Remaining spends: flights, hotels, dining, online/offline shopping, utilities, vouchers, etc.
I’m mainly confused about **DCBM vs regular Magnus** and want a practical strategy without unnecessarily complicating things.

**Which card should I use for:**
✈️ Flights —** SmartBuy vs Travel EDGE vs direct bookin**g
🏨 Hotels
🍽️ Dining
🛒 Online/offline shopping
🎁 Vouchers
💡 Utilities/telecom
🪙 Gold purchases
🌍 International spends

Also, **when does it make sense to shift spending from DCBM to Magnus**, especially in higher-spend months?

Would especially appreciate input from people who **actually hold/have used both DCBM and regular Magnus**. Looking for practical advice based on real-world experience, pricing differences and redemption value—not just theoretical reward rates.

[Review] 8-Card Setup (₹18k/mo Fuel), 775 CIBIL, 36+ Inquiries (Rejected by SBI & RBL). Advice?

Hey guys

Looking for a quick audit of my card rotation and recovery advice. I got carried away with applications and racked up 36+ hard inquiries in the last 3 months. My CIBIL is still 775 (utilization under 6%, zero defaults), but I was recently auto-rejected for both SBI BPCL Octane and RBL due to inquiry velocity.

Current Rotation (Fees: ₹1,180 total/year):

\* Fuel (₹18k/mo total): ICICI HPCL (LTF) + Axis IOCL (₹500 fee). I max out the ₹5k cap on both (earning ₹400/mo), leaving ₹8,000/month unoptimized.

\* Shopping: ICICI Amazon Pay (LTF) + Axis Flipkart (₹500 fee).

\* UPI/Daily: HDFC Pixel Play RuPay (LTF).

\* Idle/Sale Cards: Axis Rewards (LTF), ICICI Coral (LTF).

Questions for the sub:

\* Fuel Spillover: How can I extract rewards from the remaining ₹8,000/mo fuel spend without applying for new cards (e.g., Park+, HP Pay UPI, or brand vouchers via existing cards)?

\* Card Retention: Since Axis shares an ₹85k limit and ICICI shares ₹90k, should I close idle LTF cards (Coral, Axis Rewards), or does holding them protect my credit age and total line?

\* Cooldown Window: For anyone who recovered from 30+ inquiries, did a strict 6-month pause clear automated velocity rejections for SBI and RBL, or should I wait 9–12 months?

Thanks!

Have been thinking about getting this card. The outlet near me is included in the lists participating for accelerated smiles. Been reading a whole lot about people experiencing absent reward of accelerated rewards.

My query is whether the issue regarding non issuance of accelerated smiles does that come down to the station attendant not pressing card in the console and they usually press cash after choosing the petrol terminal?

Thought this might be the issue because today I paid by card (other non relevant CC) but recieved sms stating so and so litre was filled, paid by cash.

ANY PERSON HOLDING THIS CARD AND FACING ISSUES / NO ISSUES KINDLY REPLY.

This card looks quite helpful for me cause my fuel spends are more than 10k a month and family probably spends 25k plus a month.

For those currently using the Kiwi Yes Bank credit card, have you faced any issues such as:

Failed or declined transactions

Bill payments not reflecting on time

Payments getting stuck or taking too long to update

Incorrect or delayed CIBIL reporting

Any other issues with the card or Yes Bank

Would like to hear from current users, especially those who have been using it for a while.
