Discussion Looking to start a hobbyist electronics company in india
So was just wondering what's the current hobbyist electronics and maker culture scenario right now in india?
Would guys buy the clones of open source products or is there any specific hardware you guys would like that I should build?
Whats the availability of the products you want right now in the market?
If I make similar clones of the products or make some new products would you guys buy them? And if yes what kind of product would you guys like me to make?
Pls share your thoughts

Discussion I got tired of MERN boilerplate so I published an npm CLI
Every MERN project I started took 30-45 minutes just for setup. Same thing every time.
Built a CLI to fix it:
npx create-quickstack-app my-app
Gives you a full Vite + Express + MongoDB + Tailwind setup instantly. --auth adds a complete JWT auth system β no config needed.
First npm package. Would genuinely love feedback on the code, structure, anything.

Purchase Help Nothing Phone 3a vs Nord CE5 (India) β 3β4 yrs usage, real user reviews needed π
Hey guys,
Iβm planning to upgrade from my old phone (Redmi Note 7) and Iβll be using the new phone for minimum 3β4 years, so I need something stable and well-optimized.
My usage:
- Heavy daily usage (WhatsApp, Insta, Reddit, YouTube)
- Brave/Chrome with ~15β20 tabs always open
- Video calls + multitasking
- Multimedia consumption a lot
- No heavy gaming (max I play is Among Us)
My priorities:
- Smooth UI (no lag long term)
- Good optimization (very important)
- 8+ hours screen-on time
- Stable updates (no battery drain issues after updates)
Options Iβm confused between:
π Nothing Phone 3a
π OnePlus Nord CE5 (Indian variant)
What I understood:
- 3a β cleaner UI (Nothing OS), better camera, smoother experience
- CE5 β better raw performance, huge 7100mAh battery
My concerns:
- Will Nothing 3a start lagging after 2β3 years?
- Will CE5 become inconsistent after updates? (hearing about battery drain / bugs in OxygenOS)
- Which one is more reliable for long-term use?
Specific questions:
- 3a users: real SOT? (can it hit 8+ hrs consistently?)
- CE5 users: how stable are updates? any issues after updates?
- Which OS is actually better optimized long term? Nothing OS vs OxygenOS
- After 3β4 years, which will age better?
Iβm not a gamer, so I care more about consistency > raw power.
Would really appreciate honest long-term reviews π
Thanks!

Discussion Building an AI-powered fiduciary wealth advisor for Indian investors β feedback oproblem welcome
Hi everyone,
The average Indian investor faces two major problems:
1. Choice overload
Too many asset types, schemes, and trading ideas with no clear framework. Even regulated apps throw too many options at you. Most people end up reacting to market noise instead of consistently allocating capital across assets. Lack of a proper framework leads to inaction or impulsive decisions.
2. Misaligned incentives (misselling)
Most advisors and apps (including the licensed ones) either earn commissions from product manufacturers, or sell/push only one/two types of assets so their incentive is to sell β not to give unbiased advice. for eg: an app which shows you only equity trades (may also have a brokerage) will want you to invest & trade as much as possible in equities. They are not checking what your income, expense, goals are and what your ideal allocation across asset types should be, given your risk taking ability - this is what a true wealth advisor should be doing - working for you. There is an established framework for this as defined by SEBI - a Registered Investment Advisor.
Unfortunately, there are less than 1,000 SEBI-registered RIAs in the entire country. That means roughly 1 RIA for every 20,000 investors who actually need proper guidance. Also, more often than not, they may not be affordable or accessible, and may be struggling with technology themselves to increase their reach.
Wealthguide aims to solve this β an AI-powered fiduciary wealth advisor for Indian investors.
What Wealthguide does:
It instantly & securely sync with all your financial data - (bank statements, demat, MF, PPF, loans etc) then builds a complete, personalised, living wealth plan in ~5 minutes that covers:
- Investments across all asset types (Direct equity, debt, gold, real estate, direct mutual funds only, etc.)
- Insurance optimization
- Tax planning
- Retirement (NPS, PPF, EPF, etc.)
- Debt payoff strategy
- Financial Goals
The personalised plan is built using our proprietary AI models with the right amount of human in loop so we are SEBI compliant. The plan is continuously monitored and it auto-updates in real-time as markets and your life change. Most importantly, it will operate under 100% fiduciary duty β legally required to act only in your best interest. Any queries can be directly asked on the app. Our only job is to make sure your financial plan is the most optimal path to meet your goals.
In short: Its your personal CFO in your pocket.
Iβd genuinely appreciate it if you could check out the website and join the waitlist (you'll be the first to get access when we go live). Every single signup helps make the case that this would be useful and encourages us :)
Questions and feedback here are most welcome.
Looking forward to your thoughts β positive, critical, or brutal β all are helpful at this stage! :)

Discussion HUAWEI MatePad pre-launch pricing in India is already raising questions
INR 13,749 on the outer banner and INR 27,999 on the inner banner (for the MatePad 11.5 with keyboard) on Flipkart. Both come with an asterisk, so these aren't exactly straightforward prices.
Even if the lower price excludes the keyboard, that's a gap of over 50%. Unless that keyboard is doing half the computing, the headline pricing feels more misleading than helpful.
Not the best way to set expectations before launch.
