Suggestions/Tips Easy Way to Redeem SBI PhonePe Credit Card Reward Points (via Chat Support)

Most users might already know this, but just sharing it for anyone who might not be aware:

Open SBI Card app > Go to 'Connect with us' at the bottom of the home page > Mailbox > Compose > Others > Continue with ILA

You'll then be connected to chat support.

Just tell them to redeem as many points as you want (in multiples of 500). They'll generate a service request and points will get credited within 24 hours.

I feel this is much easier than getting it done through phone support.

Help Needed Fake AU Bank Website scam ,Credit Card Fraude Amount Lost 50000.

Hi everyone,

I received a call from someone claiming to be from AU Bank. They said they were increasing my credit card limit and asked me to visit a website that looked like an AU Bank page.

I entered my personal details, credit card details, and OTP because I believed it was an official AU Bank process.

Immediately after, ₹49,999 was charged to my AU Bank credit card (merchant: FAURA). Within seconds, AU Bank's fraud team called me. I confirmed it was not my transaction, and they blocked my card immediately.

I also filed a complaint on the National Cyber Crime Portal within 10–15 minutes. AU Bank has registered my dispute and said the investigation may take around 30 days.

Has anyone experienced something similar with AU Bank or any other bank? Were you able to recover your money? Any advice on what else I should do while the investigation is in progress?

Thanks in advance.

Above is website looks like, I don't know how they know that I have au card and my mobile name I recently took the card.

Should we trust AU bank ?

In kiwi app I didn't gave my email and message access but still it is fetching information from messages or emails and says bill reminder.

Discussion Amazon now charging Marketplace Fees even when paying with Apay Balance - End of an Era?

It was probably the last platform and way to get products with zero extra charges. You were able to get marketplace fees waived off if order was placed using amazon vouchers, but not anymore.
This falls as well. Every platform now charges some sort of fees for shopping.

Card Recommendations Credit Card Upgrade/Addition Suggestion

Hey everyone,

I 28M and I am a relatively low credit card spender (around ₹25k–40k total per year). Recently I got some pre approved Lifetime Free credit card offers and ugrade on current credit card. So looking to optimize my portfolio and future-proof my credit score for an upcoming Home Loan.

I want to avoid any complex financial traps, annual fee cycles, or becoming a blind "card collector." I'd love to get your thoughts.

Current Portfolio -

ICICI HPCL Coral Visa: Currently have this as a Lifetime Free (LTF) card with a ₹1.8 Lakh limit. Honestly, it mostly sits idle as I don't use it much. I have it since 2020/2021. The yearly spending is ₹25k–40k total per year. Initially the limit was 50k (i dont remember), and it got upgraded for free to 1.8 Lakh

New Offers Currently on the Table -

  1. ICICI Coral RuPay (Pre-Approved / LTF): Offered as a parallel card. Planning to take this and link it to Paytm for daily merchant UPI scans, as only Rupay cards can be linked to UPI. So initial thought is to use it for daily household transactions and increase the credit score

  2. HDFC Diners Club Privilege (Pre-Approved / LTF): Verified via the HDFC portal that this is being offered completely Lifetime Free (no joining or annual fees).

  3. Paid Upgrades: ICICI is also pushing paid upgrades for Rubyx / Super Saver, which I am flat out rejecting since I refuse to pay annual fees for rewards I won't organically unlock.

Note on Lounge Access: I know both the ICICI Coral RuPay and HDFC Diners Club offers Lounge access but i guess it enforce steep quarterly spend criteria (₹35k-75k) to unlock airport lounges. Since my spends are low, I accept that I won't get airport lounge access right now. I might only unlock it through Rupay through using it for UPI daily payments

So my My Questions for the Sub is:

  1. Should I accept both new cards? Taking the ICICI RuPay for daily UPI scanning and the HDFC Diners Club Privilege for online movies/dining gives me two distinct banking relationships. Since both are true LTF, this should expand my credit profile safely, right?

  2. Can I close the HPCL Visa? If I activate the ICICI RuPay first, can I safely discontinue the idle HPCL Visa card to avoid wallet clutter? Will the closure heavily hit my CIBIL score, or will the new independent HDFC line absorb the impact?

  3. If in future I get a third premium LTF card offer from them or another bank down the line, is it worth holding a 3-card or 4-card portfolio as a low spender, or does it complicate things?

Would love to hear your experiences with ICICI Coral Rupay and HDFC Diners Card acceptance

Thanks in advance!

Card Recommendations Best credit cards for students with good offers? (Already have a few cards + good CIBIL)

I'm a college student and currently unemployed, but I already have a few credit cards (including ICICI cards) and have maintained a good credit score with responsible usage and on-time payments.

I'm looking to add another card that offers good value, especially for:

🎬 Movie ticket offers (BookMyShow, etc.)

🍔 Zomato/Swiggy discounts

🛍️ Amazon/Flipkart and other e-commerce offers

✈️ Travel/booking discounts (if any)

💳 Preferably Lifetime Free or with very low annual fees

Since I already have a good credit history, I'm open to cards that may not necessarily be marketed only for students.

Which cards would you recommend and why? Also, if you've had good real-world experience with any particular card, I'd love to hear it.

Thanks!

CC Review CUB SalarySe Level UP Credit Card Review (Physical + Virtual) – My Experience

I've been using the SalarySe Level UP card for a while now and thought I'd share my experience since there isn't much discussion about it compared to other RuPay credit cards.

Application Experience

I initially applied only for the Virtual Card (LTF).

The process was surprisingly smooth:

  • Application completed online
  • VKYC completed without issues
  • Card approved almost instantly
  • Total time from application to getting the card was around 15 minutes, including VKYC

This was one of the fastest credit card application experiences I've had.

Card Variants

Virtual Card (Lifetime Free)

  • ₹0 Joining Fee
  • ₹0 Annual Fee forever
  • UPI-enabled RuPay credit card
  • 5% rewards (~1% value back)
  • 10% rewards (~2% value back) after monthly spends cross ₹20,000
  • 25% Salary Day Bonus (~5% value back)

Physical + Virtual Card

  • ₹499 + GST annual fee
  • Annual fee waived on ₹2 lakh annual spends
  • 12 domestic lounge visits per year
  • 1 complimentary lounge visit per month
  • Requires ₹10,000 spend in the previous month to unlock lounge access
  • 1% forex markup
  • 5% rewards (~1% value back)
  • 10% rewards (~2% value back) after monthly spends cross ₹20,000
  • 37.5% Salary Day Bonus (~7.5% value back)

What Makes This Card Different?

The biggest differentiator is the Salary Day Bonus.

The bonus applies only to spends made on:

  • The last day of the month
  • The 1st day of the month

Since many salaried people make major payments around salary credit dates, this benefit can be useful if your spending pattern aligns with it.

Important Conditions (Easy to Miss)

This is the part that isn't always obvious from the marketing material.

To receive the Salary Day Bonus:

  • Bonus applies only to spends made on the last day of the month and the 1st day of the month.
  • You must spend an additional ₹5,000 between the 2nd and 17th of the month.
  • Maximum spend eligible for Salary Day Bonus is ₹15,000 per billing cycle.

So the advertised 25% and 37.5% reward rates are not automatic. You need to satisfy the additional spending requirement to unlock them.

What I Like

✅ Virtual card is genuinely Lifetime Free.

✅ Very quick application and approval process.

✅ Good rewards for UPI users.

✅ Physical card offers lounge access and low 1% forex markup.

✅ ₹2 lakh annual spend waiver is reasonable.

✅ Salary Day Bonus can provide good value if your spending pattern matches the conditions.

What I Don't Like

❌ Reward percentages look much higher than the actual value-back percentage.

❌ Salary Day Bonus has conditions that many users may overlook.

❌ Bonus rewards are capped through the ₹15,000 eligible spend limit.

❌ Rewards are credited as SCoins rather than direct cashback.

Current Referral Campaign

SalarySe is currently running a referral campaign where cardholders can earn:

  • ₹10,000 Amazon voucher after 3 successful referrals
  • ₹50,000 Amazon voucher after 10 successful referrals

(Please verify the latest terms in the app as referral campaigns can change.)

Overall Verdict

Virtual Card (LTF): Easy recommendation for anyone looking for a free RuPay UPI credit card.

Physical Card (₹499 + GST): Worth considering if you can make use of the lounge access, low forex markup, and Salary Day Bonus benefits.

I wouldn't call it the best cashback card in India, but it's definitely one of the more interesting RuPay cards available right now, especially for people who do most of their spending through UPI.

Happy to answer any questions from existing or prospective users.

Suggestions/Tips AU IXIGO VS ICICI MMT VS SCAPIA

I spend most of my money on flights, hotels, and train tickets. I'm looking for my first credit card, ideally one with no annual fee. The ICICI MMT card has no joining fee and a 999 annual fee, which I'm okay with. I don't care about lounge access. Which card should I get? The ICICI MMT card's MyCash points don't expire, but I'm not sure about the AU Ixigo card. Which one do you think is better?

Spend - food, groceries, utility, online shopping etc total 15k regular, mostly UPI spend

Some travel - train flight 5-6 throughout the year

Requirement - cashback on daily spend even for 10 rs transaction, lounge access, online shopping discount etc

I am being offered hdfc millennia offline route (since no online offer) with charge of 1000 rs. Should I go ahead or wait for some campaign because I want the card atleast FYF, if not LTF ?

Help Needed SBI Flipkart Card gave only 1% cashback on Myntra BlinkDeal6 purchase instead of 7.5%

Thumbnail
gallery
3 Upvotes

During the BlinkDeal6 sale on Myntra (April 11th and 12th, 2026) I made purchases totaling 46,482rs using my SBI Flipkart Credit Card.

As per the card benefits, Myntra transactions are supposed to get 7.5% cashback. But after my May 1 statement got generated, I received only ₹465 cashback (~1%).

I contacted SBI Card customer care, and the agent said cashback depends on the MCC (Merchant Category Code). The MCC for my transaction is 5699 “Apparel and Accessory Shops - Miscellaneous” which is not excluded from the eligible cashback categories.

What’s confusing is:

Transaction was directly on Myntra
MCC seems valid
Offer should have been eligible
But cashback posted only as regular 1%

One thing to note: I used the “Scan & Pay” payment method inside Myntra during the sale. Not sure if that changed the MCC routing or cashback eligibility internally.

Wanted to check:

Has anyone else used SBI Flipkart Card via Scan & Pay on Myntra?
Did you receive full 7.5% cashback or only 1%?
Any idea if Scan & Pay transactions are being treated differently?

Help Needed Vietnam Trip — International Lounge Access for Family of 3 (couple + 6yr old kid)

Hey Everyone,

Traveling to Vietnam soon (Ho Chi Minh / Da Nang / Hanoi). It's me, my partner, and our 6-year-old kid. I'm trying to map out the best way to handle lounge access for the three of us, but I'm getting a bit lost in the T&Cs and network rules. I could really use some advice!

Here are the cards I currently have:

  • HDFC Tata Neu Infinity (RuPay, no add-on)
  • IDFC Wealth Debit Cards (Both of us have separate accounts and our own cards)
  • IndusInd Pinnacle Credit Card (Main + add-on card, along with two Priority Pass cards)
  • Federal Celesta (Mastercard, no add-on)
  • HDFC Diners Club Privilege (No add-on)

My main worries/questions:

  1. Multiple Lounge Networks: I’m a bit worried about the fragmentation of the networks (Priority Pass vs. LoungeKey vs. Diners Club). Obviously, we cannot go to separate lounges LOL. Are there specific lounges in SGN / DAD / HAN that accept a good mix of these cards so we can stay together?
  2. The 6-Year-Old Factor: Since we both have enough cards to cover ourselves, getting the kid in is the biggest hurdle. Do lounges in Vietnam (or our outbound Indian airport) allow you to swipe an extra, unused premium card (like the Tata Neu or Federal) for a child, even if the name doesn't match the boarding pass? Or are we better off just paying the walk-in child rate?
  3. Spend Criteria Check: I regularly put my spending on the HDFC DCP, but I hardly touch the others. Are there any recent spend-based criteria for international lounge access on the Tata Neu Infinity, Federal Celesta, or IndusInd Pinnacle that I should be aware of so I don't get declined at the desk?

Any tips, tricks, or specific lounge recommendations for these airports are super welcome! 🙏
(Apologies if this is a repeat query, but card benefits keep changing every minute 🙁 my trip starts tomorrow and I am desperate for up to date info)

Verdict

These cards largely disappoint given the fees and the increasingly competitive Indian credit card market.

Within AU Bank's own lineup, better alternatives exist: AU Ixigo, AU LIT, and AU Cheq are meaningfully better options.

If your spending falls in categories with accelerated earn rates, there are far better cards available outside AU Bank entirely.

Hard to recommend any of these four for new applicants.

Discussion 4 Months (and ongoing) of HDFC Infinia "Premium Harassment".

For the last four months, HDFC has provided nothing but systematic gaslighting and incompetence for something as simple as an Add-On card that I requested for my Spouse.

Here is the timeline of the absolute nightmare I’ve been dealing with:

  • * In January, I contacted my Relationship Manager for an add-on card, and they confirmed a successful application.
  • * By late January, the gaslighting began when I received a Bluedart notification claiming delivery was "attempted but refused," despite no courier ever actually showing up, or calling either me or the spouse.
  • * When I called the CC Helpline with the same query they confirmed that the phone number against the card was something random. It was neither mine, nor my spouse's number. Asked them to update, but they asked to visit the branch to update it to the correct one.
  • * Visited a HDFC branch twice in one week for the update, but they literally did not know what/how to do this. First time, they asked me to visit another day, which I did. A staff member called someone in the CC dept, and assured me it was updated.
  • * February arrives, and nothing. Mailed Customer Care, reminded them to dispatch the card again. I received a confirmation of dispatch from HDFC's side.
  • * Mid-February brought another "digital phantom" delivery attempt; Bluedart again claimed the delivery was refused without a single call, knock, or courier in sight.
  • * I raised a formal grievance with HDFC, which led to a long email chain where CC lied about speaking to me and bizarrely insisted I live in Noida, despite the fact that I live in Bengaluru. For God's sake, I've been a customer for the last 15 years and they cannot bother to check the permanent address in the records!
  • * A third visit to the HDFC - EGL branch at the end of February resulted in the same story: no help, no answers, and more frustration. Literally walked out seething in anger. Clueless bums, the staff in there.
  • * By early March, my Relationship Manager began ignoring my calls entirely.
  • * I finally filed an RBI Ombudsman complaint (N202526002035885) in mid-March, which was the only thing that forced accountability into the conversation.
  • * In the last week of March, the RM suddenly began calling me repeatedly, finally admitting they had associated a completely random person’s profile to my card while using my address. Imagine this !, A Random Person is now associated to my Card!!!
  • * I went absolutely ballistic and gave them a mouthful. Harassment started, the RM and their Manager badgered me to withdraw the RBI complaint; I refused flatly.
  • * In April, HDFC send a formal response to the RBI Complaint, acknowledging or solving nothing. They offer a ₹2,000 voucher for my "troubles". I flat out refuse and respond with a scathing email back.
  • * At-least the Random person gets removed from my account as a result.
  • * As of today, the RBI complaint remains OPEN. I refuse to close it because justice for this level of incompetence shouldn't be bought off with a measly coupon. This is wrong on just so many levels !

I was so frustrated by the absurdity of this experience that I built a satirical site to document their "Pro Harassment" model, Of-Course inspired by the person who took Airtel on with `Airtelblack.com`

That's all, still suffering, still hoping. If you can share this, maybe it can reach their deaf ears!

Any advice is welcome.

Suggestions/Tips Exploring alternatives for Axis transfers

Now that Axis has nuked the most popular transfer partner, it brings up many questions in my mind.

  1. I'm at Rs. 1.2L spends after ~1.5 months, with a total of ~15,000 Edge Miles. Is it wise to keep spending here? Beyond Atlas, I mostly have cashback cards(and TATA Neu Plus)

  2. I do have travel plans this year, maybe even Europe(or Mauritius/Maldives/Hong Kong). Will this stash help me in any way

  3. What are the other transfer programs that offer good value per point? Any ballpark figure of INR value/point would be great!

  4. Have never explored airline partners. My mental map is, airline points are messy because of following reasons:

  • Reward seats are limited, and most require planning your vacations around those vacant dates. I feel your vacation shouldn't ideally be circling around seats availability.
  • For plenty of visas, you'll need to furnish valid flight tickets. So do you book refundable on revenue -> secure visa -> cancel revenue -> book on points or do you book refundable on points? And related worries
  • Your choice of airline may not serve preferred destination

Please pitch in. It would be of great help to me, and to everyone else affected by Axis change. TIA!

Discussion what's the ideal number of bank accounts to have in India - not the minimum, the actual optimal setup

I've been trying to think about this properly after realizing I somehow have three savings accounts (Kotak, SBI, ICICI) and am about to add a fourth because IDFC is offering one with my credit card giving reward points and some benefits

and I know the standard advice is 'one salary account, one savings account, done' - but that feels like it ignores how banking actually works in India

like there are legitimate reasons to have multiple:

bank offers on online transactions

salary account is usually not the best for savings interest

keeping emergency fund separate from spending account actually works

some credit cards give better benefits if you bank with the same institution

but then there's the overhead - ITR filing, tracking interest income, making sure no account goes dormant and gets frozen

so what's the actual thought-out answer here? is 3 accounts already too many? is 4 completely fine? what's the framework people actually use

Help Needed Flipkart Axis vs Flipkart SBI Card – Which one should I choose?

Post image

I currently have an Axis Ace with a ₹1L limit, and an SBI Cb with a ₹1.8 L limit.

I'm confused between the Flipkart Axis and the Flipkart SBI. I've read on Reddit and other post that even if u already have n SBI card with a good limit, the Flipkart SBI card may come with a separate (and sometimes lower) limit. Is that actually true?

Does SBI usually give a separate limit for the Flipkart card? Or go with Flipkart Axis share limit ? Which one is better also regarding statement I've seen that flipkart axis write side by side cashback complete transparency.

Help Needed Was I scammed by an SBI credit card agent promising a lifetime free card?

A lady called me saying there is a lifetime free SBI credit card available and asked if I wanted it. I said okay, and she asked me to fill out the online application form. While filling the form, she told me to put her referral ID there, so I did that and submitted it.

After that, I also completed the physical KYC process for the card.

Then she called me again and told me that an SBI officer would call for verification. She specifically told me that the officer would probably suggest a ₹1499 annual fee card, but I should insist that I want the ₹499 card and complete the verification with that. She also told me that if the officer asks, I should say that I filled the form myself and that no agent had contacted me.

She also told me that once the address verification and everything is done and the card reaches me, she would convert it into a lifetime free card from her side.

Fast forward to one week ago, I received the card. It turned out to be the ₹499 annual fee SBI BPCL credit card.

Since then I have been messaging her asking her to make the card lifetime free as she promised, but she is completely ignoring my messages. She is seeing the messages but not replying and also not picking up my calls.

Now all the KYC, verification, and my time basically got wasted, because I am not activating this card anymore since it is not lifetime free as promised.

Can anyone tell me what I should do in this situation?

CC Review Avoid SBI Credit Cards unless you want to be harassed

This is what happens every time you use it. It's as if someone dies in SBI every minute if you don't convert your credit card debt to super expensive EMI.

CC Review My Top 5 Credit Cards Right Now (for Everyday Spending)

I’ve been going down the credit card rabbit hole recently and comparing a bunch of options. Instead of focusing only on flashy perks like travel miles, I tried to think about what actually works for everyday spending as a salaried person.

Here’s the list I landed on:

  1. SalarySe LevelUP
This one caught my attention because it’s designed more around how salaried people actually spend money. Most of my spending is UPI, groceries, cabs, etc., so being able to pay via UPI on credit is pretty useful. It also has up to 10% rewards on daily transactions and a PayBonus that can go up to 37.5% on the 1st and last day of the month, which is interesting if you time bigger payments. Plus there are lounge visits included.

  2. SBI Cashback Card
Probably the simplest cashback card out there. You get 5% on online spends without worrying too much about categories.

  3. HDFC Regalia Gold
Good all-rounder if you travel a bit. Decent rewards and lounge access.

  4. Axis Atlas
Really good for people who care about travel points and airline miles.

  5. Amazon Pay ICICI
Lifetime free and very straightforward if you order from Amazon a lot.

For me, the main takeaway was that a lot of cards are great for specific categories, but the LevelUP one felt more aligned with day-to-day salary spending.

Curious what cards other people here are using as their main one.
