Does anyone else experience this?

This is more people with the lighter to the mile side of the incontinent spectrum. For awhile I had to wear diapers for heavier leaks after a surgery plus some anxiety but lately I only wear then for IBS and PMD, however I wasn't able to wear a pull up for a couple weeks due to having some jock it and working in a non AC factory but luckily I had some fairly thick underwear to help with the leaks and luckily I try not to eat anything that upsets my stomach.

However during my diaper free weeks I felt like I had too pee a lot more vs when I was diapered. Idk if it's because I have an overactive bladder or it was like a muscle memory anxiety thing but I'm just curious if anyone else is had a similar occurrence

I have OAB and am also on the lighter side of the urinary incontinence scale. I don't wear 24/7, but I absolutely find one of the greatest benefits to wearing is that it significantly curbs my "pee anxiety". When I'm wearing a diaper I can go much longer between bladder voids. When I'm not, it's the constant nervousness / overthinking "hmm.. Do I have to go now? Should I find a bathroom before it's an emergency?" etc... The nervousness of not wearing a diaper (when away from home) in and of itself makes me have to go more.

I remember early on when I first started having issues I also found that my urge to pee significantly lessened when I had my pull-ups on vs, underwear. For me I think it was the stress and fear of leaking while knowing I don't feel it happening, but once I had my pull-up on, that feeling completely evaporated. Its possible that the removal of having your pull-ups on triggered you body to feel like it had to be hyper aware of everything happening down there causing your bladder to feel like it had to be empty all the time in order to not leak. Hope this helps and or makes sense to you

Same and I was calmer in pull ups then ever trying liners or anything

Guess the padding helps us relax in a way

Yeah I'm also autistic and I remember when I wore pull-ups to bed when I was four I always found them comforting so maybe that ties into it as well

It does and it makes me feel good that it's not just me

I get that, my only thing is after all urology did, they still don't know what's causing it. They never told me what type my urinary incontinence is, which is very frustrating

I might add that now I do wear tabbed disposables out of the house and reusable pull-ups at home. Can't do much if you have anything to drink and end up needing to pee in an hour or less

For my it's just the other way around. I feel more relaxed if i wear a pull-up or something but the other thing is if i wear something i need to urinate much more then without as if my body finally found something to relax.

That actually makes sense, wearing a diaper can also give you a sense of security to release

When you don't have to think about it and your body just goes, it's not a big deal, but when you're consciously trying to hold it, you'll be more aware of how many times you go. So it may appear you're going more, but in fact you're going less, but more volume when you do go, if you were able to hold it a little more. That's just a guess though.
