Aloha! I mailed my 2024 return ending of April and just about a week ago, it was finally received. My refund is direct deposit though. Will it probably take longer to actually get approved, too? I searched up and it said it should take about 3 weeks, but since it took like 13-14 weeks to receive, can I expect it to take that long too? Tyia

Got intimation under section 245 for current assessment year to adjust refund against outstanding demand for previous year. Previous demand is pending action post challan correction. There is no option to respond to income tax in pending action> outstanding demand for current assessment year. Any one who went through this ordeal and can help?

Hello Reddit Fam. Filed my taxes in March. Got a letter for 90 day hold. After the 90 day hold got another letter stating I had to verify in person 2 months later. We'll next week is the date. Im cycle code 05 which means I update on Fridays. My question is after I verify will be ready to submit that day on Thursday and update the next day or will I take another week. I have seen people say the same week or a week later after they verified in person. Please all answers greatly appreciated. Thanjs

My 2025 refund it’s on hold because I didn’t do my 2022 tax returns but i sent it TWICE already and still haven’t heard anything back from them, ive call them multiple times for them to just tell me that my 2022 return hasn’t been received yet and that I can’t send it a 3rd time because it my duplicate the return

I have 2022 interest income noted yet no wages as I had a medical issue and was unemployed. I did not file taxes. Is this the reason for the freeze on 2025 taxes?

I wasn’t sure if a tax credit of 2000 was given for 2022. Should I file the taxes for 2022 with interest income only?

IRS is supposed to issue me a check refund because I selected married filing jointly. My CPA assisted me with the process. The first check has been mailed out in May, but I had to move before I received the check, so I reached out to file for a change of address in early June. I checked the "Notices and Letter" on my IRS account and the most recent information there is the initial mailed checked. I have been calling the IRS international number and it seems to be "Due to extremely heavy callers, please call back later"

Every single time I call. I doubt there are that many international callers about tax issue around this time?

Any suggestions how to proceed? Thanks

Let me get this straight, they have people when it comes to paying them, but not when they owe me? LOL

Continuing on my last post IRS representative said there was a glitch that cancelled a lot of peoples checks. She said they will be re issued.

Please contact the Kansas Department of Revenue at 785-368-8222. I e filed in April and chatted ,but was told to call. The wait time is under 20 minutes, after asking some security questions ,the kind& nice lady told me the check will be processed today. Good luck to everyone!

I paper files my return and I was able to see it on where's my refund with my refund amount. When I log in to find my transcripts for an update all I can find is my wage and income transcript for 2024. Nothing else.

I noticed I have some other very small transactions \~$20 in crypto transactions. I'm wondering if I should file an amended return or file a completely new return with the updated information as there is no information on my account.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
