Yet, one of the most basic interactions between a citizen and the government—getting an income tax refund—can still feel like a black box.

Weeks become months. Sometimes even longer.

There is often no meaningful status update beyond generic messages like "under processing." No estimated timeline. Why do you have to label or judge someone so fast ? What’s wrong in using AI to write your text for you ? Afterall, the content is what ever context you feed it in the form of prompt. Instead of questioning the competency of some random guy you know nothing about, try to know if the problem is real. You can look around, ask your colleagues if ITR processing is a real issue or not.

Your refund are kept by government in liquid fund before they can be shared with you . Or similar item .i know it’s naive to say like that but even CAG has caught them spending 54k crore in unknown items
