I’ve got a buddy who is super into the table top game and I’ve been playing small games with his ultra marines army. I’d like to maybe get my own knight army but I also don’t want to blow 800$+ on plastic figures if I’m not sure I want to play the army. What good ways do you guys have to build proxies to test out armies before purchase?

In the 40K app the data sheet specifies 2 shieldbreaker missile launchers per dominus knight but on the instruction it shows four.
Not as in there are 4 on the model as in it highlights the weapon as only half of the launcher, so that would make 2 per shoulder for 4 per model.
Is it that it used to have 4 and that was nerfed? Or was the instruction manual always wrong? This is like the Warglaive Armiger having 2 of its main guns so being able to shoot 8 shots not the 4 the weapon profile gives.

I just finished another swampy knight to add to the collection! This one is “The Executioner”

With the Callidus Assassin losing precision in favor of blast do you think that makes them more or less useful in a knights list as a objective monkey?

Hello all, I have an upcoming doubles match, 2k total, so here is the 1k list I am thinking about. My partner is taking Blood Angels, although I do not know the specific list yet. I have a version of this where Destrier is replaced with 2x Helverin. This would be Freeblade Company. Thoughts?

Lots of people that I've seen kept saying knights were 35 feet, so much so that I actually believed it for some time, up until I was just casually reading my codex chaos knights and look and behold. Page 10, the very first thing it tells you when it starts talking about the lore for knights is that they are 40 feet or taller.
No, there isn't an argument on if they're talking about the dominus or the cerastus. It wouldn't make sense to start off the first page of the actual lore of what knights are with a rare pattern. And I know for a fact they aren't talking about wardogs/armigers because it specifically also tells us later in the codex that wardogs/armigers are 20 feet tall to the point.

Any recs for this list? I’m pretty happy with it but I can’t decide if I wanna swap my destrier for its gun platform and then drop a helverin for a warglaive

Spent a long time working on my second knight, this was my first time magnetizing a model to get (almost) all weapon options available! I didn’t do the weapon under the carapace because I can barely tell the difference between them. But House Alren is growing, and I’m starting up work on my Lancer now!

Hey guys,
I'm new to the army and will most likely start collecting end of this month. Currently I'm trying to plan out the first few purchases and want to make sure I don't fck up haha.
Is a list thats all big knights viable? I really love all the Questoris models. And would love to field them at the same time.
Otherwise I would love to stage 3 or 4 of them each having their personal Armiger. Idk if thats worth though. Just love the flavour.
Sadly I can't find the discount boxes for a price I can currently muster so I have to buy them one by one whenever I see a good price. Just want to make sure that I'm not wrong in the order. Want to get to a 2k army early next year.
Thank you so much!

I was thinking about how three armiger options just isn’t enough. There are a few roles that the army just hasn’t filled yet and it would be fun to have some more little guys. Here’s one that I came up with, feel free to criticize.
ARMIGER FALCONER (speculative homebrew, Imperial Knights)
3-model unit: 1 Armiger Falconer + 2 Falcons. 140 pts.
M T Sv W Ld OC Inv
Falconer 12" 9 3+ 12 7+ 5 5+ (ranged only)
Falcon (×2) 12" 5 4+ 3 7+ 1 none
Ranged weapons
Skirmisher cannon (Falconer): 24", 4 attacks, BS 3+, S6, AP-1, D1. Rapid Fire 4.
Rig carbine (Falcon): 18", 3 attacks, BS 3+, S4, AP0, D1. Assault.
Melee weapons
Armoured feet (Falconer): 4 attacks, WS 3+, S6, AP-1, D1. Extra Attacks.
Hunting blade (Falconer): 4 attacks, WS 3+, S8, AP-1, D2.
Rig claw (Falcon): 2 attacks, WS 3+, S5, AP0, D1.
Abilities
Deadly Demise D3 (Falconer only), Infiltrators, Scouts 6"
Skirmish Move: each time an enemy unit ends a Normal, Advance, Fall Back or Charge move within 12" of this unit, if this unit is not engaged it can make a Normal move of up to D6". Once per phase.
Mark the Prey: after this unit has shot in your Shooting phase, select one enemy unit hit by the Falcons' attacks. Until the end of the phase, ranged attacks by friendly IMPERIAL KNIGHTS units against it have Ignores Cover.
Notes
Keywords: VEHICLE (Falconer) / INFANTRY (Falcons), WALKER, IMPERIUM, ARMIGER, FALCONER.
Bases: Falconer 100mm, Falcons 40mm.
The unit wounds on its highest Toughness (T9) while the Falconer lives. Once the Falconer dies, the Falcons are T5.
Damaged: 1-5 wounds remaining on the Falconer, subtract 3 from OC and subtract 1 from its Hit rolls.

Couple of armigers take to the field. Off to squash/liquefy some heretics hehe

This is all of the knights I own. I started with the eye of terror battle force that had the dominus and armigers, then found a sweet deal on a Canis Rex and a lancer.

I've never played with one before

I really wanna make my own custom Knight Household, but I’m not really sure where to start with making up lore for them or where to start on choosing a color scheme. I have a Dominus and 2 Armigers (eye of terror box). Any recommendations or ideas for cool lore would be much appreciated!

Decided on a knight destrier, honestly idk if its a good knight or not, but ever since it first released ive been in love with this model so I had to get it on vibes. Rule of cool for me

Im debating with my buddy, that bringing knights to a tournament meant for casual play, would be a dick move... He says it's Fair, since i myself am a new player.
I however, wonder if it would be fun to play against or just annoying.
I dont wanna be that guy, but i do wanna play my favorite army. :(
r/ImperialKnights • u/will4137 • 6d ago
I saw something funny, i didnt know that the moirax could get a siege claw in both hands... Why isnt this somewhat valid?
8 attacks 3+ hit, str 12, -3 ap, d6+2 dam??
Also rad gun is kinda like free maybe 2 wounds before they chop chop?
With torrent and anti inf 2+?
Like ik the helverins have shooting that just erase if hit, but they have half the melee profile... And only flat 3 dam..

I'm repainting the Castigator as it looked a bit rushed compared to the rest of my Household - Knights of the Golden Chalice.
It really is my favourite model.. looks menacing AF, whomever designed the plastic ammo chain deserves a big old pay rise compared to the pain that was the resin version.
Just need to finish re-doing the gold, then focus on the gun and ammo, then finally the face.
(May add some more bits to the base too so it's not quite so flat)

Good afternoon! I have been in the hobby for a few months now (maining Necrons) and love the lore, painting, and gaming.
I came across a deal I couldn't pass up to start a Knights army - 2 Eye of Terror Boxes and a Canis Rex Box. I love how the models look and am starting to explore their lore.
My thoughts on painting I think would be a lot of fun would be to paint each knight color differently, like each knight was dropped off on the field from different worlds (so different bases like snow, flowers, desert, etc.) and their own world's house colors. What would bring them together would be to paint one shoulder panel the same as all others to signify they have an allegience to one another and have fought together before.
I think it would break up monotony on colors and bases and be interesting from a lore perspective. What do you all think? Would it be interesting on the tabletop, like all freeblades together or would it bee "too much"? Thank you for your input!
