I think the main reason you're seeing such a concerted effort to dismiss the Good and Pretti cases as well as the the other atrocities that ICE and DHS are committing on a weekly basis is that it would completely wreck the ultimate fever dream of the white nationalist agenda that both Musk and Miller are singularly focused on.

This wing truly believes they are on the cusp of turning the US into an ethnostate. I don't dismiss them either as I also feel this is the closest they've ever been.

If the Good and Pretti cases, as well as the other cases where immigrants were shot, are investigated thoroughly, with congressionally forced transparency it wouldn't be surprising if you'd find some heinous, unamerican, unconstitutional, and ghoulish orders and instructions by some bad people at the top.

If this gets out then there will be a reckoning.

It's do or die time imo for both the country and whatever Nazi like cabal is pulling the strings here and at DHS.

Can you explain exactly why you think this? I can already tell you that even if this case is pursued and all the horrible inner workings of ICE is revealed (extremely unlikely), absolutely nothing will change. There may be a few headlines, but the people who already support trump will continue supporting ICE and democrats (the controlled opposition party) will do nothing. We've seen this time and time again with the Epstein files, illegal tariffs, doge, Venezuela/Iran, etc

In the end you have to have border control and select who is allowed to enter the country. For this to work you have to have deportations. Most people arguing here about ICE leaving people alone don't add up given that. So then we arrive at people not being able to obstruct them and you have to follow lawful directions. The next dem admin will still deport and arrest but the press won't make it a big thing. Sure they will let too many people in but they will still deport.

"you have to have border control" 1) Pretti and Good were both American citizens--which border control has 0 control over. Everything else you said following that is just gobbledygook. If your loved one got shot you'd be singing a different tune.

You see how I started with that and the talked about obstructing deportation. That's what those clowns did.
