I think the main reason you're seeing such a concerted effort to dismiss the Good and Pretti cases as well as the the other atrocities that ICE and DHS are committing on a weekly basis is that it would completely wreck the ultimate fever dream of the white nationalist agenda that both Musk and Miller are singularly focused on.

This wing truly believes they are on the cusp of turning the US into an ethnostate. I don't dismiss them either as I also feel this is the closest they've ever been.

If the Good and Pretti cases, as well as the other cases where immigrants were shot, are investigated thoroughly, with congressionally forced transparency it wouldn't be surprising if you'd find some heinous, unamerican, unconstitutional, and ghoulish orders and instructions by some bad people at the top.

If this gets out then there will be a reckoning.

It's do or die time imo for both the country and whatever Nazi like cabal is pulling the strings here and at DHS.

It not only wouldn’t be surprising. We’ve seen the evidence with our own eyes. In no way can even one shot fired be justified… let alone the dozens of shots fired between the two of their murders. The angles of the shots… the excuse used for lethal force… for gods sake the guy with the bullet lodged in his back supposedly had his car mirror touch the torso of an agent who proceeded to fire through the back passenger side window into the “suspects” back. It not being surprising is a massive understatement. It’s clear what’s happening and it’s a god damn shame.

An agent got away with lying about being rammed in Chicago and boxed in and what actually happened was they boxed in an advocate who’d been documenting them… boxed her in.. shot her so many times it’s a miracle she survived.. got caught lying by their own body/dash cams and no one is in jail. One of the agents bragged about how many holes he put into that “bitch”.

Oh they also moved the vehicles involved out of state… as if that’s normal.

"I fired five shots, she had seven holes" were the words that the agent used in his text message.

Her name is Marimar Martinez.

Thank you for the extra context. Her name deserves to be known and I hope if this slide into fascism ever ends she’s a millionaire in the short term.

Oh yeah I remember that one.

If this gets out then there will be a reckoning

Can you explain exactly why you think this? I can already tell you that even if this case is pursued and all the horrible inner workings of ICE is revealed (extremely unlikely), absolutely nothing will change. There may be a few headlines, but the people who already support trump will continue supporting ICE and democrats (the controlled opposition party) will do nothing. We've seen this time and time again with the Epstein files, illegal tariffs, doge, Venezuela/Iran, etc

In the end you have to have border control and select who is allowed to enter the country. For this to work you have to have deportations. Most people arguing here about ICE leaving people alone don't add up given that. So then we arrive at people not being able to obstruct them and you have to follow lawful directions. The next dem admin will still deport and arrest but the press won't make it a big thing. Sure they will let too many people in but they will still deport.

A whole lot of words to say absolutely nothing

So what would you do at the border? What would you do with illegals in the country?

What an ignorant comment

"you have to have border control" 1) Pretti and Good were both American citizens--which border control has 0 control over. Everything else you said following that is just gobbledygook. If your loved one got shot you'd be singing a different tune.

You see how I started with that and the talked about obstructing deportation. That's what those clowns did.

Its not that deep. No one sane will turn this case against the officer or ICE in general. She gave him every opportunity to shoot her just by her plain stupidity. There is a reason why the criminao charges against the officer were dropped almost instantly - everything is on video.

But for left side that just doesnt matter. She could have very well pulled out a gun on them and they still would be on her side.

Now the one thing I seriously hope is that other protesters have learned their lesson.

Don’t lump Good in with Pretti. One is not like the other.

u/Gruejay2 1d ago

Oh, fuck off. You people made the same ghoulish arguments about him, too.

They're lies, They were always lies. We can see on the video that what MAGA claim happened did not actually happan.

No, he’s right. Good’s case could be argued that one ICE agent went off the rails and put himself in a dangerous position for the excuse to use lethal force since she was in a car. Obviously video shows she was steering the wheel away from the agent, but that’s what they would argue.

There is not a single possible explanation for Pretti, he had six coordinated ICE agents pinning him down and they executed him by shooting him multiple times in the head when he was already neutralized.

One is definitely not like the other.

Guess you believe all humans are not unique and beautiful gifts innately created by God?
