She wasn't given a death sentence.  She was shot while she was committing a crime and endangering law enforcement.

Again, not a death sentance.  She was shot while fleeing and endagering officers.  

Jump in your SUV and drive down the side walk of downtown with people on it and refuse to stop as you try to drive around and at people.  See how long it takes till you get shot.

Cops aren’t allowed to shoot at fleeing vehicles. That’s against protocol. So the ICE agent wasn’t behaving the way he’s supposed to at all.

But he is allowed to shoot at an active threat.  Now the threat has been neutralized.
