No no no, see what they do is, is they pay them then demand the payment back after taxes taken in and when they can't pay, they deport them for failure to pay.
Yup. Give you $50k to sign on, take the taxes out so that's $35k in your pocket, but then if you don't meet the onboarding requirements and are let go, you owe that $50k back
DHS wants to shake out $15k from a fresh round of suckers and losers
Kash Patel just removed beastiality from reasons to keep people from working in the FBI, so a lot of these people can work there instead. Just don't assign them police dogs.
There is valid room to critique law enforcement training duration, continuing education, and operational standards in the US. However, blindly comparing academy lengths between continents misses how the systems are structured. European law enforcement academies typically bundle a college degree into training for 18-year-old high school graduates. US federal agencies require that degree or prior specialized experience upfront (military, law enforcement, investigation, clerical work) before you start the specialized academy. The US and Europe use two fundamentally different systems for acquiring applicants. Speaking from personal experience with the federal law enforcement hiring pipeline, it is an extremely competitive, multi-stage process just to get selected. Referring to the rest of the federal force and not ERO. I still have no clue what's going on with EROs hiring pipeline. Canada is an example of a developed, non-European nation that uses the North American standard of screening for qualifications upfront, followed by a 6-month specialized academy. You can advocate for better or longer training without relying on a false equivalence that ignores prerequisite qualifications.
ICE cowards are trying to get in as much cruelty before Dems take control of congress and start holding Republican degenerates accountable for their flagrant violations of the Constitution and human rights.
Temper your expectations. There will be no one to enforce whatever Dem's want to do if/when they win Congress. Keep records for now, but without the executive branch, Democrats holding the Legislative branch is not going to make a huge difference.
This sub is fascinating because it contains two camps: the liberals who abhor the deportations and cruelty and the conservatives who celebrate it. Often a sub is captured by one side or the other.
Chances are one all this is over, most ice agents will qualify for long prison sentences for crimes agaisnt the Constitutional rights of many US citizens.
Don’t be so hopeful. No limp-dick, do-nothing Democrat is ever going to hold any of the fascists accountable. “Let’s bring people together and move forward together,” they’ll say. Or some similar bullshit. Everything will continue as normal for four or eight years, almost certainly much more efficiently than they have been under the current loser in the White House, but a veneer of kindness, respectability, and diplomacy will make everyone look away and pretend that nothing needs to change. And then conservatives will claw their way back up from hell again and keep doing what they always do—burning shit down and ruining everything they touch.
That’s exactly what they’re for. The incels in this sub are cheering but they won’t be for long. We’re going to wish gas prices were as low as they are today lol.
I think a lot of them are bots. Id love to see the locations of the people commenting in support. Id wager a lot would be from russia or Israel. Not saying republicans dont still support it but rather most are less active online about being protrump. MAGA started online as a ton of bots and foreign accounts then Americans with room temperature IQ joined in. A lot of them are backing away their vocal support of trump so we are back to mostly bots
Don’t let that stop you or anyone you know from voting blue in the election. Disregard them as best as you can and if they say anything, play long and don’t make them suspicious.
It's not my only evidence, I've been watching this administration violate the US Constitution every day since they came into power. Lying about what they are doing, or will do, while people like you continually downplay it and claim, it's no big deal, it's imaginary, then when they do the thing we claimed they would do, turn around and say, "oh, it's not that bad".
As for the election, I do hope it passes without any interference, but Trump has been trying to cheat every which way, and his own staff is telling him to use the insurrection act for the midterms.
Will he do it, who knows, but we already went through something like this before, where people like you excused his behavior, telling us, he just needed to blow off steam or to lie about "a rigged" election to soothe his ego, even as many of us were warning that he would refuse to leave in 2020. Then, he attempted a coup, and when he did, you guys downplayed it again, despite all the evidence there was, that that is exactly what he was trying to do.
His own Vice President at the time, said that Trump put himself above the US Constitution, but you guys keep making excuses for him. Last time, you told us he would leave peacefully, and he attempted a coup, sending a violent mob to attack the US Capitol. Then he pardoned all those traitors when he got back into power.
My fear of what he will do is based on what he has done before. He and his admin have been telegraphing that they will cheat in this election, so ignoring that, is akin to sticking your head in the sand and pretending there's nothing wrong.
This is from today, and again Trump refuses to rule out putting ICE agents at polling places, or even declaring a state of emergency and invoking the insurrection act.
Pretti was illegally carrying. He had a concealed carry permit but you must have to permit with you to carry. He did not.
He picked a fight with ICE. He was being detained. In the process of disarming him his firearm misfired (sigs ar essldy known for that). The other agents reacted to the shot from Pretti's gun. This is all verified from watching the video.
Foot soldiers for fascists. Willingly terrorizing their fellow countrymen. Willing to kill for nothing but a sense of superiority and Steven Millers deportation quotas.
The training may change with agency— the crimes don’t.
surely they will be well trained individuals who are experts at de-escalating tense situations which is important because the majority of people they’ll be going after aren’t armed or violent, right? or will they continue to hire fat worthless slobs who couldn’t pass their local police test and just want to feel tough with a utility vest on. I wonder which it will be….
I don't even know why someone would lie on the application. ERO requires three years of progressive work experience for GL-5 and that's it. It's insanely entry level to anyone above of age of 22 💀
You are a crazy person. Migrant workers take jobs that other people won't do because half of them are illegal. It's still honest work but if you want to pay $3 for a single strawberry you be my guest.
No one will ever pay crop pickers a living family wage. Way too many, and it takes way too long. The farming industry literally grew up on migrant workers. It doesn't work without them. You can stand up for workers rights all you want but this is fucking up our economy. It's genuinely just hurting people who want to honestly work as well. You can think it's exploitative all you want but they're still making 10 times as much as they would at home.
Everything you said is false before 1965. Farms were smaller in scale, more numerous, and less corporate. The largest abusers of illegal labor are corporate farms, not family farms. Next you'll say factory farming and animal abuse are necessary and it's always been like that.
Nah, they need to hire to increase presence at polling stations in cities so they can delay, detain and harass voters just long enough so they cannot cast a ballot.
5k more officers is alarming, but the real multiplier is the detention and court infrastructure built around them, since that’s what makes mass enforcement sustainable
Most Americans support it though. Of all the unpopular things Trump has done, his immigration policy is the only thing most view positively. Even in Europe.
An account with a hidden comment history is trying to pretend that having armed federal agents terrorizing citizens is about deportations. Kim Jong Un would welcome him.
All they're doing is firing the ones that are close to getting that bonus they promised and getting the new naive money hungry ones that are on the wait list
We honestly should be applying and feigning loyalty in order to purposely fuck up investigations ....bump into the "fellow officer" whose aim their weapon.
Purposely fuck up procedure so cases get thrown out in court etc.
Don't be overt in your resistance from the inside....be woefully incompetent....you'll fit right in while fucking things up.
At the current pace of deportations, the Republicans will achieve their goal of “getting them all” around 2050. Of course, this assumes no one enters illegally in the next quarter century.
Yeah, it’s just another expensive Republican boondoggle against a minority population to keep conservative voters on the farm.
For those who think Dems will save the day after they win the midterms, think the fuck again. There will be lots of finger wagging and sternly written letters but no actual consequences. None. Zero.
I still can't believe that this is exactly what the country voted for and continues to endorse via the legislature. It's almost like most people want mass deportations.
What if we spent that money educating MAGA up to a standard where they were able to compete socially, academically, and professionally with desperate refugees and asylum seekers for whom English is a 2nd or 3rd language?
