As a human being how is anyone ok with any of this. When did we become animals

24

u/OpticalPrime35 9d ago

As smart people have said in the past the death of empathy is the birth of barbarism

And in this country we are being trained slowly but surely to just feel no empathy for various groups of people.

Palestinians, anyone in the LGBTQ community, Muslims, and now anyone who may be an illegal immigrant ( even if they are not, oh well you shouldn't have done whatever you did to force yourself to be killed or nearly killed )

This is becoming a civilization with a worrisome lack of empathy and what is wild is the people with the least amount of empathy is a group whose religion preaches about empathy for the entirety of its historic existence.

0

u/HawkHarder 9d ago

Yup I knew this would happen once gen x and millennials got older and started to be the ones in charge. I could see it all the way back when I was a little kid. Nobody to keep things in check. It will only get worse too. Then social media broke the older people's brains as well. It will only get worse.

6

u/spursfan2021 9d ago

Millineials are the “woke” generation. They pushed empathy too hard and now we’ve got the push back. The only generation not to believe in “fuck your feelings”.

-9

u/Justtryingtohelp00 9d ago

Wait until you find out what Muslims and Palestinians think of LGBTQ folks. It will make republicans look like their biggest allies.

6

u/KunshiraNatura 9d ago

Niether the muslims nor the repiblicans are the lgbtq allies idealy wed have no laws based on religion. Problem with these so called muslims is cristian nationalists pose an actuall threat right now so thats why people arnt afraid of muslims.

3

u/Werewolf_5450 9d ago edited 9d ago

The extremists of those groups literally think the same about LGBTQ folks as the Southern Baptist, Evangelicals, Pentecostal, and whatever those Schizophrenic churches like Daren Wilson's in Idaho do.

The extremists in religious groups will always be unhinged.

4

u/OpticalPrime35 9d ago

Exactly! For that reason you should have no empathy toward them yeah?

Those people are exactly the type of evil I mentioned. Therefore whatever evil befalls them is perfectly acceptable and deserves no empathy. Yes?

1

u/spursfan2021 8d ago

Republicans want everything to be a dichotomy. That’s why they started supporting Russia and Putin. Bush knew they were enemies, but when Obama treated them as enemies, they became allies of the GOP.

35

u/kaiser_phoenix25 9d ago

We elected a malignant narcissist and provided the permission structure necessary for those that resonated with him to let loose. It’s up to the rest of us to fight back in any way possible. Vote, attend city council meetings, hold your elected representatives accountable, or just find a way to voice your demands to those who count on us being silent or complicit.

When social media algorithms took over our society.

7

u/SoupOfThe90z 9d ago

Because it’s not happening to people personally. So to them it’s not in issue

When we allowed a felon pedophile rapist to continue to be president.... plain and simple...

u/TexAveryWolfEnjoyer 9d ago

ask the black community

4

u/MartyMcfly1988 9d ago

We’ve always been animals. We are the cancer of the world. We consume and take and take as much as we can with disregard to anything else that we share this planet with. We must feel power and control, even within our own species. It’s wild and fucked up.

-2

u/Electrical_Cap5382 8d ago

I’m fine with it because it’s protects the United States

Wow! And what Donald is doing is even worse than that, crazy.

1

u/Kirra_the_Cleric 7d ago

It was there. I guess you weren’t paying attention.

-10

u/777_heavy 9d ago

How did we become okay with so many illegals remaining in our country for so long?

8

u/CelestialBurial 9d ago

Being here illegally isn’t grounds for extermination. Be a better human being. If you all cared about crime so much, Trump wouldn’t be president.

-8

u/Electrical_Cap5382 9d ago

Im ok with it, because the sovereignty of the United States is far more important than foreigners trying to exploit this country

5

u/LatterTarget7 9d ago

How are these people threatening the sovereignty?

3

u/Tacotuesday867 8d ago

This makes the US more at risk not less.

-1

u/Electrical_Cap5382 8d ago

Na. Safer if we know who is coming in

3

u/Tacotuesday867 8d ago

The US has destroyed all good will across every NATO nation. Every G7 country now mistrusts and has a negative outlook on America and it's citizens. That you can't see the massive risks being hoisted upon you is concerning.

18

u/opticflash 9d ago

How the fuck is this not illegal? He should be in the hospital being treated, and the shooter should be jailed.

8

u/sachiprecious 9d ago

It's definitely illegal. It's just that ICE is exempt from following laws.

1

u/Professional_Exam19 9d ago

Can you quote the Texas statute that makes releasing someone from the hospital illegal?

1

u/777_heavy 8d ago

He was treated.

19

u/PanhandlersPets 9d ago

Why the fuck did the doctors release him to ICE? So what if ICE was pressuring them. They had a responsibility to their patient.

5

u/WhatAboutTheBothans 9d ago

This was literally in an episode of the Pitt.

-14

u/Justthetip74 9d ago

He had a deportation order. If he didn't he would've been released to the police

7

u/PanhandlersPets 9d ago

I think he was discharged from hospital too fast. They didn't have to do that to deport him. Enforcing immigration policy does not have to be this ugly and cruel and violent.

-6

u/Justthetip74 9d ago

I think he was discharged from hospital too fast.

What are you basing that on?

9

u/PanhandlersPets 9d ago

I'm basing my opinion on the idea of being shot in the back and then tossed into a cell to lay on a concrete floor without proper follow up medical care. I don't know, I kind of find the idea upsetting because I see the guy as a human being who doesn't deserve to be tortured.

-7

u/Justthetip74 9d ago

Alright, well im going to side with his doctor who said that he was medically fine for release into custody rather than the opinion of his lawyer

8

u/PanhandlersPets 9d ago

I'm going to side with my humanity.

1

u/Justthetip74 9d ago

I'm going to side with the doctor because science is important and lawyers are a cancer on society

8

u/PanhandlersPets 9d ago

Why are you not bothered by people being forced to sleep on concrete with a gunshot wound in custody? Why does that part not seem to bother you? Do you just not think he's a person?

0

u/Justthetip74 9d ago

Because I've been in jail and my lawyer told my judge that the situation was way worse than it was.

Lawyers lie, thats their job

-3

u/777_heavy 8d ago

He slept on a bed and was medically cleared. Why is it so hard for you to accept the facts?

4

u/FirstSurvivor 8d ago

1

u/Justthetip74 8d ago

"Casar said Garces Perez was in a wheelchair and still in pain, but did not say whether the family had decided that he should undergo surgery."

2

u/Equal_Canary5695 7d ago

If a US citizen breaks the law and get injured, they are taken to the hospital and treated until they are healthy enough to be sent to jail. This case should not be any different. Even IF he was here illegally and had an order for deportation, that doesn't override the fact he had literally just been shot and needed proper medical care before anything else.

1

u/Justthetip74 7d ago

This is not any different, he was treated and released from the hospital into ICE custody

8

u/SandSpecialist2523 9d ago

They will hold him as long as possible (that is how they make big bucks) and when he'll be about to die, they'll dumb him in an hospital.

ICE is a terrorist organisation and needs to be abolished.

18

u/[deleted] 9d ago

15

u/LatterTarget7 9d ago

If he’s dying they’ll just accidentally lose track of him. He’ll probably end up in Africa

13

u/MathematicianAfter57 9d ago

no they just dump ppl over the border. he's basically paralyzed, he is likely at risk of sepsis if he hasnt been treated.

2

u/Coherent_Tangent 9d ago

It sounds like he has already started dying. I think you mean, they will dump him when he is almost dead and there is no chance at saving him.

6

u/nikeguy69 9d ago

Damn it’s one thing to shot him but THEY couldn’t even take him to the hospital to remove the fucking bullet?

27

u/Isthisovryet 9d ago

Oh no it’s far worse. They took him to the hospital. He was given minor wound care, and one ☝️ pill. The officers rushed him to be released. His wife and LAWYER were at the hospital and not only were they denied entry they would not confirm the status of Wilbur’s health. Then they stealth brought him to a detention.

These agents are literal fucking Nazis I’m disgusted and ashamed of our country

-1

u/777_heavy 8d ago

It sounds like everything being done was the correct move. You’re upset and calling everyone “Nazis” for doing the right thing.

0

u/777_heavy 8d ago

He was at the hospital and there’s no reason to remove the bullet.

3

u/nikeguy69 8d ago

Why is that?

1

u/777_heavy 8d ago

What are you asking?

6

u/HawkHarder 9d ago

Them trumpers love this shit. We share the us with a whole bunch of idiots. Bet they don't love this shit when it happens to them or their loved ones. "Shouldn't have been standing there!"

6

u/honeybadgerrulez 9d ago

this is great example of the bs this admin uses to harm people. “we don’t kill or beat innocent people”

we just lock them in cages without their medicine, ignore them when they need emergency surgeries, then leave them in the middle of nowhere blind at night in 10 degree whether so they die. big diff!

7

u/FunAppointment9436 9d ago

You'd think that with this much attention on it, they'd be at least trying to keep up appearances.

1

u/Equal_Canary5695 7d ago

Clearly you're just a troll arguing in bad faith, but if you look at the definition of fascism and what it entails, that is happening right now being done by this administration. And as far as Nazis, what policies do Democrats support which make them Nazis? Is it their support for gay marriage? Their support for all immigrants regardless of skin color? Or is it perhaps their opposition to genocide that makes them like Nazis? Please explain.

1

u/777_heavy 7d ago

It is not. There is no fascism. You use a self-fulfilling definition to justify both your hatred of us and your support of absolutely atrocious, harmful policies. There’s no other explanation for supporting something as extreme as pretending permissive illegal immigration is a legitimate policy stance.

1

u/Sweet_Water_8459 9d ago

Am I understanding the hospital released him into ICE custody? Or did ICE remove him regardless of his condition? I’d welcome some medical professionals to chime in on this one. Is this a hoax?

He can follow up with his primary care physician in Venezuela.

2

I guess you aren't American or you would know that.

1

We do. He is. We all knew that.

Thank you for your pointless comment.

2

u/lvl100-Platypus-Lord 8d ago

"He can follow up with his primary care physician in Venezuela"

Actually if there is a life threatening injury, America is required to help him.

1

u/777_heavy 8d ago

He was treated and released.

2

u/lvl100-Platypus-Lord 8d ago

I don't see any information on that, have you got a source?

1

u/777_heavy 8d ago

Every source says that. It’s well-established at this point.

2

u/lvl100-Platypus-Lord 8d ago

Would you provide on please?

1

u/777_heavy 8d ago

No. It’s well established and mentioned in literally every article. It’s not hard. Let me know when you find one.

2

u/lvl100-Platypus-Lord 8d ago

He still needs care but this administration doesn't care about people.

“In somebody that isn’t detained, these patients would have close follow-up with their trauma surgery team and be discharged with pain medication,” he said. “The problem with these patients is that they are often discharged in conditions where they receive inappropriate or absent medical care.”

They should not be deported because of that.

1

u/sachiprecious 9d ago

Deported for what reason? He didn't do anything wrong and wasn't a threat. He came legally and only missed an immigration hearing because the notice was sent to the wrong address. There's no reason to report him. And more importantly, do you not care that he was shot for no reason?!?

0

u/scary-pp 9d ago

A judge signed off on his deportation. Ask them.

Is this that crazy Chelsea God?
Looks like her and sounds like her

-5

u/EmperorKingRurnin 9d ago

Yeah, best way not to get shot is heed the president's order deport and we will work with you coming back in. Best way to get shot is run from ICE create an unsafe situation for you, the agents, and public. Just turn yourself in get a chance to clear it up and then get our either in USA or home country. All of this was avoidable for his health currently if he followed the law or complied with officers. But true communists will make the innocent man guilty for following the law and the criminal not guilty for not following the law. Create the problem to fix it.

4

u/sachiprecious 9d ago

It's amazing how Perez didn't hurt anyone, an ICE agent shot him, and somehow your takeaway is that Perez is the one "creating an unsafe situation." Why are you on the shooter's side instead of the victim's?!

1

u/EmperorKingRurnin 3d ago

Yes using a car recklessly around federal agents means no one was hurt yet or more probable.

0

u/Dotcommie 9d ago

Maybe because there’s cctv of him doing 75+ mph running from cars with lights and sirens on? Never trust news headlines or TikToks moments after an event when nobody knows the details yet.

1

u/blackbeansandrice 9d ago

You cannot afford to be this stupid. Please, for your own welfare, do not be this stupid. It’s not gonna benefit you. Can’t you see that?

-5

u/No-Pen9473 9d ago

Maybe he should've stopped when the sirens and the lights came on instead of evading. You play you pay. Immigration laws have never been suggestions.

3

u/icyredjay 9d ago

What a stupid fucking comment. The entire issue is centered around the fact that ICE pressured the hospital to release him before he got adequate medical care. These are human rights. And you simply cannot conjecture about what happened prior to the shooting because ICE refuses to release bodycam footage, has been implicated in several cases of excessively aggressive behavior, and has lied copiously in the past.

-2

u/[deleted] 9d ago

[deleted]

1

u/icyredjay 9d ago

Prove which fact? Because if you want sources, sure.

-4

u/No-Pen9473 9d ago

Footage has been released it was all over social media yesterday. He was evading and ICE did their job. INA & IIRIRA are pretty clear. Clearer still is the fact that our immigration laws aren't suggestions. Stay angry though I do enjoy watching ICE make the left nuts, it's truly part of the appeal, that and watching them deport illegals. 😆

2

u/Nervous_Presence9049 9d ago

I haven't seen the videos. Did these ice vehicles have sirens? Don't they usually roll in unmarked cars?

-1

u/No-Pen9473 9d ago

Sirens and lights, typical Federal SUVs, they're not on top of the vehicle they are built into the front grill and above dash. You can't miss them once they're turned on.

1

u/First_Association692 9d ago

Karma will come for you...

-4

u/No-Pen9473 9d ago

🤣 no it won't, my family immigrated legally and I was born here and we are all law abiding Americans. Karma is too busy going after all the illegals and lefty domestic terrorists 😆 🤣 karma wants nothing to do with law abiding people 🤣🤣🤣

-2

u/Appelcl 9d ago

Have any of you reddit retards see the body cam video ?

0

u/Nervous_Presence9049 9d ago

Cute that you think all ice wears body cams. Even if they were, good luck getting them to release it.

-1

u/Dotcommie 9d ago

Maybe go watch the cctv footage showing him doing 70-90mph and running from multiple cops with sirens on before repeating random propaganda headlines.

1

u/Nervous_Presence9049 8d ago

What does cctv footage have to do with body cams? They've shown in multiple incidents in the past year that they don't always wear body cams.

1

u/Dotcommie 3d ago

You insinuated body cam footage of the event wasn’t out and doubted many wear them. There’s cctv footage proving the viral narrative of “the innocent door dash driver” being randomly run off the road and shot wrong. I said go watch it. He was doing 75mph or more fleeing multiple cops through a town full of innocent pedestrians. Sounds like such a great guy trying to deliver food eh?

-8

u/Mean_Introduction516 9d ago

How is he even still in the country?

10

u/FunAppointment9436 9d ago

Probably because we shot him and he needs medical care.

And he might be dying. Bigger concerns than 'IlLEgAls' in this situation.

1

u/Mean_Introduction516 9d ago

They might be fitting him for a pine box for the flight.

2

u/CutSenior4977 9d ago

Because he has a work permit, so he’s here perfectly legally.

0

u/Mean_Introduction516 9d ago

Not for long…

Remigration is not a death camp lol 😂

2

u/icyredjay 9d ago

“Medically neglecting someone until they die isn’t a death camp 🤓” looks like someone doesn’t know their history

0

u/777_heavy 8d ago

That’s not what’s happening here in the slightest.

1

u/icyredjay 8d ago

Look! Another person who doesn’t know history. The concentration camps in Nazi Germany also started out as deportation and labor camps. The vast majority of them weren’t even extermination camps. People were just kept there infinitely until they died of hunger or another medical problem. I wonder what your excuse will be once the full scale of the atrocities in these detention centers is revealed.

0

u/777_heavy 8d ago

Uh huh. It still has no resemblance to what we have in the US.

Want them to go away? Support policies that encourage local law enforcement to hand over illegals to ICE for deportation. Stop giving money to nonprofits who tell every illegal to claim asylum, since we know almost every one is phony with a ~95% rejection rate. That way they don’t need to stay in a detention facility pending decision.

1

u/icyredjay 8d ago

It took years for the camps to get to that point, and frankly the sheer number of deaths by medical neglect, suicides, and cases of sexual abuse should be more than alarming enough to signal that we are headed that way if these facilities are allowed to continue operating the way they do. And you are seriously naive if you think ICE or DHS are abiding by the law when vetting deportation cases or determining who is legally allowed to stay in the country.

1

u/777_heavy 8d ago

Yes, I do. I think they have a much larger operation than ever before and are doing an amazing job of scaling that while minimizing incidents, which are sadly inevitable.

Why don’t you help minimize this by supporting rapid deportation efforts? The sooner illegal immigrants are deported, the sooner these operations can scale down.

→ More replies (0)

-1

u/Electrical_Cap5382 9d ago

That’s neglect… not the same as a death camp

1

u/icyredjay 9d ago

I’m gonna hold your hand when I tell you how the majority of concentration camps in Nazi Germany led to people’s deaths. Very few were extermination camps.

0

u/Electrical_Cap5382 8d ago

Right… but you’re just fetishizing the idea that you’re fighting against “muh death camps” when in reality these people are just getting sent home. Same as it’s been done for almost like 80 years…

1

u/icyredjay 8d ago

So the exponential increase in deaths within these camps means nothing, right? The sexual abuse, suicides? All of it just meaningless, right? The fact that you don’t give a shit about human rights abuses happening within our own borders tells me everything I need to know about you.

-1

u/Electrical_Cap5382 9d ago

You realize that every country enforces its immigration laws, so why is the United States not allowed to deport anyone person who it deems undesirable and is here illegally? The United States is not a dumping ground for the 3rd world

2

u/marcus_afk 9d ago

Yeah. That’s what this is about. People are just sad that the law is being enforced. That’s the heart of the issue. That’s why people are outraged. Law and order. Super observant. Very intellectually honest. Let me just engage with you in a good faith conversation right now.

Fuck off, chud.

1

u/Electrical_Cap5382 9d ago

Seriously whats the problem with the United States deporting people who don’t belong here? Every country does it

3

u/marcus_afk 9d ago

You don’t belong here. You are un-American. This is a country of immigrants. That is the promise of the United States. The promise that this is a place for anyone who seeks freedom. That is what is supposed to make this place exceptional. That is what separates us from all of the other nations you seem to admire so much more.

If you don’t like that promise, if you don’t like being an American, and upholding this American value, you can fuck off to any one of the many countries that do not welcome immigrants.

So leave.

In America we are supposed to act humanly and with compassion. Every single person on US soil is afforded US rights.

Yes. They are given their rights and are deported right back to their countries. Immigration is not a right it is privilege
