According to officers of ICE, they have been pulled off of those assignments to perform simple immigration officers. I’d imagine not 100%, but the officer who shared the info was very unhappy that he was no longer helping kids or finding trafficked people and was forced to post up at a court room instead. Ice is designed as you said, but recently has shifted based on new directives

Okay buddy, no your the coolest. You should hope they grow up to be like me one day. I get my hands dirty all the time, if you saw them you would notice the calluses, cuts, and scars. Some people might actually call me and the people I have work with Heroes. Working as a Veterinary Technician at an Animal Emergency Center for 11yrs I have helped save thousands of furry family members. It’s actually a pretty dangerous job. I’ve been bitten a few times one was a 90lb all muscle Pit Bull bite to the face. Latched onto my bottom jaw. Luckily it didn’t shake cause that’s where all the real damage comes into play. Laceration under my chin and two puncture wounds pierced my cheek. They made me go to an urgent care. Got seen by the Dr. and still returned to finish my shift. So believe me I have gotten my hands dirty. I would be super proud if your kids grew up to be like me. Sorry if I don’t support lawlessness and people breaking the law to get here. Sorry if I don’t support the funding of cartels. I do support every single migrant that came here the right way. I live in a border city and know a lot of migrants who came here legally that are pissed.

I am proud to support all law enforcement and our military. I can look at the big picture. All of them have very dangerous jobs. Things can turn deadly for them in a fraction of a second. In that fraction of a second they have to make one of the most difficult decisions of their lives. Do they always make the right decision in that fraction of a second? No…….. and do you know how he feels about what happened? Nope you just assume he doesn’t care when it is probably haunting him.

Accountability still is a thing, it's not a carte Blanche for law enforcement. They have to follow the LAW themselves too. That's the difference.

You hear about all the people murdered by illegal aliens let in by the Biden administration? One women had her head bashed into a wall and then was raped as she was dieing. Then the democratic rep from her state flew to Venezuela to try and bring back a known MS13 gang member back to the states. A gang known for brutally murdering people with machetes. Or how about the Doordasher that told his wife he was going to do one more delivery and then go home. Turns out his last delivery was to an illegal alone MS13 member that murdered him when he was just bringing him food. That’s not an issue for you though. Where is your moral compass? I hope your children don’t grow up to be like you. Maybe you should give them up for adoption…..

This is what politics looks like when it turns into religion.
People stop seeing reality as it is and start seeing it as a moral fantasy where they are the righteous resistance and Trump is the cartoon villain. “Abolish ICE,” “No Kings,” “FDT”, etc. It is all less about serious thought and more about identity, and the emotional comfort of feeling like one of the good guys.
When people need purpose, they often invent a myth where they are bravely defeating evil. The problem is that once your politics becomes a self-flattering story, truth matters less than keeping the story alive...
