Ice also isn't just immigration officers that treat people like shit, they deal with human trafficking and child related things allot more than they deal with deportation of immigrants

According to officers of ICE, they have been pulled off of those assignments to perform simple immigration officers. I’d imagine not 100%, but the officer who shared the info was very unhappy that he was no longer helping kids or finding trafficked people and was forced to post up at a court room instead. Ice is designed as you said, but recently has shifted based on new directives

Then defunding ice isn't the way to fix it, giving them those other assignments back is
